Ugg,, I am 3 days post op and 3 of 5 of my kids are puking. I haven't felt very well all day,but just figured it was post op related...now I am afriad I am gonna end up with this bug they have and I am sooooo scared I am going to vomit and hurt myslef or mess up my band. I have anti nausea meds, but I am not sure if I need them or if I am just so freaked out I am making myself sick. What horrible timing for my family to share so whole heartedly!!

If there are any praying people out there.. I could use a few about right now!!

I'm hoping you don't get it. I think I was 2 or 3 weeks post op when I was at my 2 nd job and there were like a couple people who went home sick because they were nauseas and vomiting and I found out that people were out all week due to this virus that was going around the hospital. And I was like I CAN'T get this and I'm gonna kill someone if I do. We spent the next 1/2 hour or so wiping everything down. Luckily nothing happened but I was so worried

Good luck and hope the virus skips you.

Thanks for you are your kind thoughts. We made it through the night. I took the anti nausea meds they sent me home with and that helped me a lot. My kids are old enough to make it to the bathroom now, so although they had kind of a rough night, they made it through and one is feeling all better and the other two are on the mend. I had my first day of mushies and that helped me feel a little better too, just to get some food in me.

Anyway, I think I am on track now. Feeling better by the hour!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
