Food and Menu Ideas Needed

Since Easter I have been gaining and losing and have gone from 164 to 166-168 and cant seem to get back down. I am hungry a lot but when I try to eat it seems like everything is getting stuck. I basiclly live on Soups, chili, and chicken. It is getting old and I would like to spice up my choices. Any menu/recipe ideas would be greatly appreciated. Fish is some times and I cant seem to stay away from potato chips. I was thinking fill but with getting stuck so easily I am afraid that won't help. I was so proud when I was steady at 164 but now when I see a 170 I want to cry. I need to keep up with the Water sometimes I dont drink as much or anywhere near what I need. I also know that i am eating more than 1/2 cup of food at a sitting. Somethings I need to work on are will not eating between meals, drinking Water, and recognizing the signs my body is sending when I am full. But I am weak in the will power department that is what brought me to need lapband to begin with. I am hoping with some new food choices I can get back on track. I just want to get to 150.

      Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

        As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

        Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

        Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

      Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
