I ate cereal in the beginning religiously, but now because of my restriction I can't do cereal with milk. I suck down the milk and then chew the cereal and it all starts to back up for some reason. I haven't even tried lately because I am scared of this. Now this might be because I am trying in the morning and I am tighter in the morn. I just am not able to drink while I eat without problems and that little bit of milk is like drinking while eating, so it throws me off.

I've only tried cereal a few times, but I had trouble. It's probably because I'm tighter in the mornings - I've never tried it at night.

I had to NOT buy any cerial this month and tell the kids TOO BAD.. cuz its something that goes down too easy and I take advantage of (at nights when my band is open)

I actually DID buy corn flakes and rice crispies and didnt touch either one.. but heres a shock.. neither have the kids..

Sooooo.. bye bye cerial.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
