Tired and uninspired :(

Recommended Posts

I was banded Nov 8th of 2010 and have lost 61 pounds but I haven't lost anything in 2 months and I notice myself going back to my old ways and I don't want anything to do with exercise anymore ugh what do you do to stay motivated? I need some inspiration!

hello !! cheer up!! 61 lbs is quite an achievement!!! Workouts are difficult for me too...but if we dont work out our fitness will get worse.

I thought lap band was magic...but soon I realised that workout is a must...my doc has asked me to exercise twice....but thats not possible..

How old are you by the way....all the best for more weight loss and good workouts...

Thanks for the encouragement! I'm 28 and I thought the lapband was like magic at first too and now I realize now more than ever it's just a really great tool.

There is nothing like a personal trainer to keep you going...My 6 wks with CC has turned into > 2 years and it has been wonderful. She motivates me and is full of life wisdom.....I haven't had a real plateau ever. Whenever the scale didn't move we looked at my food journal and found the problem and made adjustments. She changes my workout constantly and has been very attuned to my needs to not be bored. I am having a series of foot surgeries in the fall and she is already working on formulating sitting and non wt bearing exercises to keep me in shape for when I can't treadmill for weeks.

I hope you can find a personal trainer to help you.

Mimi

Try different classes and activities as well! The more fun, the more it doesn't feel like exercise ;)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
