I got a fill yesterday and I'm so, so tight....

Recommended Posts

I can't drink more than 1/8 of a cup of liquids an hour. Any more than that and I throw up. It's taking me forever to drink my Protein shakes.

My coffee though, I guess since it's hot, goes down really easily.

I know it could just be swelling- I threw up 5 or 6 times yesterday afternoon. Now I'm slowing way down and sipping on things. If I'm still like this Friday morning should I go for a slight unfill before the weekend or wait it out a bit longer?

A month ago I was like this and it kept up for almost 2 weeks and it was all from swelling. As soon as the swelling went away, BAM I could eat anything again including bread and chicken.

Well you know your body better than anyone, if this is what happened last time then I would wait it out a few weeks to see if normalizes like before. I do find it odd that you can't keep liquids down though. That's never happened to me and I am very tight with a good fill right now.

Spoiltmom--I feel the EXACT same way! I too, got a fill yesterday and feel SO tight! I am having the exact same problems you are with everything-liquids and all! I got a fill about a month and a half ago, and had to have a small unfill after 2 weeks because I couldnt keep anything down. This was my first fill since the unfill and I was very excited about it until I got it LOL. I was afraid there was something wrong with me, sorry you are having problems, but I am so glad that I am not the only one going through this!!

I got a fill 3 weeks ago and it has been so tight that things were backing up in the middle of the night and waking me. I could hardly drink coffee and get it through. It was so tight that I was very uncomfortable. I was just so afraid that if I did not do something about it that it would cause problems down the line. The band has been in for almost 2yrs and I have had NOTING go wrong or turn bad with the band at all. I just did not want any issues. I feel so much better since I had a bit removed. I can sleep and drink fluids with out it hurting so much. And even though I am under 200 for the 1st time in over 20 yrs I still got some Fluid removed.

Just keep a watch and pay close attention to how you feel. You will know if you need to get some taken out trust that and your intuition.

Good luck

Michele

I had a fill that made me too tight and I had to have it taken out 5 days later. My problem is it pushes stuff/slime up into my throat and irritates my esphagus to where I can't eat. Weird! My PA said to take the next fill slower meaning that they not add so much. Just do .3 cc or .5 at a time and not the 1 cc that they did. I hope you feel better soon.

I have been too tight, and hesitated to go in for an unfill thinking it was swelling and not wanting to be hungry. Once I "sucked it up" and went in for an unfill I felt much better. I even still had restriction. I suffered longe than necessary. If your still having trouble Friday I would call for sure. Hope you feel bette soon.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
