I am 11 months out and I weigh daily. Like someone else said I count the losses and shrug at the little gains. I am 80 lbs down now and have been here for a couple months. It's frustrating- but trying diff things to try and lose like higher caloric intake more Protein and more Water

I threw mine out ! They drive you crazy ! ! !

I get weighed when I see a Dr. Bariatric, or PCP.

They read the chart, and find my last weight, and then record the new,

and by that time we are usually both very Happy.

I also record my weight on a small purse calendar. Then I can see the progress for myself.

I weight my self daily - every morning after I shower. I don't think I am obsessed with it - it is now a habit for me.

I weigh myself every day. I do get disappointed if it's higher, but I don't stress about it too much. I know even though my weight loss is slow, it's okay, because it's healthy loss.

I have to admit, I weigh almost daily also. I use it both as a barometer of how I am doing AND hoping to see a loss. Unfortunately, I am pretty discouraged right now. I was banded on 3/10/11 and initially lost 9lbs however, when I went onto solid foods I gained back 4lbs. I am trying to watch what I eat but have NO restriction at all. I can eat anything. I have not had a fill yet. When I had my last appointment 6 weeks ago the doctor said it was too soon for a fill. I go back on 5/24/11. Hopefully he will give me a fill. My hope is that once I get filled, I will start seeing progress again. Has anyone gone through this?

Guilty as well.... :( I weigh myself at least once a day (usually two or three times). I had my surgery three weeks ago and I'm suppose to just now be introducing solid foods, but I'm eating pretty much everything. Nothing has given me any problems (so far) and I feel like I am eating WAY to much!!! I know I'm not eating as much as I use to, but I thought lap band patients weren't suppose to be able to eat much, and I am! I never really FEEL hungry, but I never feel full either. Yesterday I ate a whole grilled cheese sandwich. And I know I shouldn't have ate the whole thing, but I actually felt full (and a little uncomfortable) but it still didn't make me sick or anything. Since surgery I have lost about 15 lbs and I am happy with that, but since I started eating "normal food" I haven't lost anything. I'm just feeling a little discouraged because I am able to eat so much.... I don't know. I go on July 22nd for my first fill. I guess I will just wait and see!!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
