Found Scale after a 3 month move

Recommended Posts

I have beenliving with my bachelor son for the last 3 months after a move from TX to CA. I am finally in my new house and have unpacked. I knew my weight loss wasnt going to set the world on fire but I was curious to see where I was finally.

I am down 4 lbs! My diet has been very good except for chocolate and wine, and no exercise. I know what I need to do to improve. I really expected more, but I am happy that I didnt gain. At least I have a starting point to move forward from.

We did a costco run and I bought tilapia, sliced chicken breast meat and a whole lot of ground turkey. Also a few bags of romaine/spinach mix.

I question how much my having Soup or chili at the hospital cafateria at work has influcned this. My old hospital had many healthy choices. Here they are all high in carbs and fat and the vegetables are all dried out and gross. Thus my choices of Soup and chilli. This week I will begin taking my lunch to work.

Slow losers uniite!

ADDED NOTE: I would like to start walking before work but have not yet found my blow drier? Anyone walk in the am with wet hair? While in TX I had an hour commute. Now it is 8 minutes. I still wake up at the same time and would like to make it productive time.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
