You won't really know by compairing to others because we all gain and lose weight so different. We all carry it different.

I've seen other gals post that they weigh more than I do, yet wear smaller sizes ...............

Here goes anyway .........

I am 5'7", so a bit taller than you. I am 46 years old, so that also might make a difference. I lost 111 pounds and went from a BMI of 41.3 to a BMI of 24. I did quite a bit of tanning in my younger years, so my skin is damaged and not very elastic. Some people who lose a great deal of weight have a hanging stomach and need to have that removed. I have only had one baby and was a teen mom, so don't even have stretch marks. My stomach is not bad at all. I'm sorry to tell you that my arms turned out the worst. I not only have the hanging "bat wings", but the skin under my arms looks like it is 100 years old. I even have bags of skin hanging in my armpits. This does not mean yours will turn out the same way. The full sleeve tattoo might even help your situation. You should go look at lellow's photo gallery. Hi!

We are exactly the same size but I'm just at the start of my lap band mission and would love to keep in contact with you throughout your journey!. I have been to a seminar and am meeting with my primary care provider next week to see if I can get my insurance to pay for it. I am concerned that insurance won't pay for it since my BMI is 37 and I don't have any major health issues. Were you able to get insurance coverage? I'm jealous you already have your surgery date! Let's keep in touch!

If you search on the internet as I did. key words "ideal weight" you should be able to find a test that you first measure your wrist. If your index finger overlaps your thumb you are small bone structure, if your index touches your thumb you are medium build, if there is a gap between index finger and thumb you are large boned which i am. I found this on the Ducan diet site. It then asked my age, height and so forth and came up with my ideal weight. Hope this helps.

I am your height and my starting weight before pre-op diet was 235. I was banded May 13, 2010 and could not be happier with my results. I now weigh between 167-170. I am a compulsive weigher at least 2X a day. But it keeps be on my toes. I hate to admit it but I haven't done any real exercise and I have the droopy arm thing. I believe if I had exercised I wouldn't have had them so badly. As for my stomach well there are a few stretch marks but considering you couldn't see them before I can live with them and if I would exercise I could probably tone up what I have and lose my last 20 pounds to goal. I am really enjoying my new body and wearing clothes that may be a bit young for me but I don't care. My recommendation is to EXERCISE. I blame having 2 kids and husband and thier after school activities and school work and I'm sure I can come up with some other reasons but the fact is I don't like it and was seeing results without it. Although, I am smart enough to know that with moderate exercise I may be able to pass my goal. I am planning on starting to ride bikes with the kids and play in the yard more and do some gardening this year and put that Wii to use. Good luck on your journey. Feel free to ask me anything you want to know I am an open book.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
