What do you eat in a typical day??

Recommended Posts

I vary my breakfasts quite a lot - cereal, fruit, yogurt or some combination of 2 or 3 of those, occasionally eggs, very very occasionally pancakes.

lunch is normally either fruit and yogurt if on the run or some kind of salad, sometimes dinner leftovers if suitable

dinner - so many things to have for dinner, occasionally it's Pasta of some description, most often its a Protein (like chicken) only rarely plain, tonight we're having Thai chicken Cakes - and salad or vegetables.

I dont eat dessert.

I have a Protein shake as SOON as I get up everyday - soo great for the metabolism (that is what makes the taste manageable)! Then, a few hours later I have "breakfast", which usually includes 1 egg cooked somehow and a yogurt smoothie. Maybe even a few strawberries or 1/2 a banana on the side.

For lunch, I have 1/2 cup of cottage cheese or a yogurt with 1/2 Peanut Butter sandwich on low-carb bread or turkey and provolone on a low carb tortilla. I can't eat lettuce, but you could add lettuce for some variety (if you can eat it) Yesterday, I tried a South Beach wrap for lunch, but didn't enjoy it too much!

For dinner, I have a good source of Protein (lean hamburger, chicken breast, pork loin, etc) and a vegetable of some sort - unfortunately the veggie is usually some potato dish (stick to 1/2 cup or less and it's not so bad) No bad carbs at dinner (no refined sugars or white breads!!!)

For my snack, I count up my propel drinks for the day, add in my Fiber choice tablets, and if I have room in my calories for the day, I will have an apple or some grapes - or, if the chocolate urge is in full gear, I will have a sugar-free chocolate pudding!!!

But, hey - what do I know? My weight hasn't changed since going back on solids!! I have not had a fill yet either, so my portions may be too big, but they are definitely much smaller than before!

Good luck (I hope this helps!!)

Breakfast is usually a yogurt (yoplait lite about 100 cals), then I usually have fruit for a snack sometime before lunch (apple, or some florida citrus, or a banana), lunch is usually a half a sandwich and a bowl of Soup (sandwich is lean meat, mustard, and lettuce, or simple a Tomato sandwich and Soup is one of the lean Soups usually around 100 cals), and another snack of fruit, then dinner is a frozen michelinas lean meal (they range around 120 to 300 cals) and fat free sugar free pudding or Jello for dessert. I only drink Water for liquids.

That is a typical day for me. I stay in a range of about 800 to 1000 cals a day. It is tough, but if i focus on it I can do it well.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
