Mine is to the right, out of the way I think it depends on your MD's preference.

Mine is a tad bit higher than the center of my torso....centered about 1"-2" below my sternum depending on my position. The location has worked out well for me.

Mine is 2 inches to the left of my belly button and really deep so don't think I will ever be able see it since I can't even find it now - still have 100 pounds to go though - only down 30 since surgery on 12/2/10.

WOW!! I fell like the odd woman out here!! My port, and all others that my surgeon bands, is on my left side, but in my CHEST!! Yup, just out from my left armpit!! My incision is just at the edge of my armpit and the port just out from that. You really can't see it, but it is easy to feel and they say it is easy to access. I know from my first fill experience that it was easy for my NP to get to. Just one less belly incision I guess and all of the belly ones were very small.

Mine is in the same place! I love it there. Very easy to access and less likely to protrude and stick out. My dr. says that he has only had one person to have a visible port here and that is because she lost too much weight. Even if it shows a little, my bra will still hide it, so no big deal!

Mine is just under my ribs on my left side and is the larger incision. My use to bother me when I bent over to shave my legs or pick something up becuase it would be in the way but now that I have lost alot of weight it doesnt bother me anymore.

Mine is about 3 inches to the right of center about 2 inches below the bottom rib. I have the Realize band so it is a lower profile port. The NP said that it was very easy to find and access when I went for a fill 2 weeks ago.

Mine is about 2'up and to the rt of my bellybutton. I can also feel it...feels like a large lump. I have my first pre-op appt tomorrow so I will ask if there is any rhyme or reason to where its put.

Mine is below my belly button. Actually, kind of inside the belly button on the bottom lining. If that makes sense lol You can not notice it, but I can feel it if I push on it. He put it there because I have my belly button piereced and said he didnt want to ruin the piercing lol

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
