Is it possible to get a slip if you've never been filled?!

So I got my lap band on 1/5/11

I ate more than my diet was suggested...

Alot of stuff I have read about lap band slips state...

'After a while of eating more than suggested quantities of food the pouch stretches out and the band will go up..' blah blah blah

so, my question is... can it happen even though i've only had it done for what... 7 days?

I am going to go back to the suggested liquid diet i was told to be on and leave it at that.

I'm just worried... have I already caused a slip by eating more than I should have?

I never got sick, or even felt 'full'

It is unlikely at this point to have slipped your band. However, anything can happen. I would suggest that you call your doctor Monday and confess that you misunderstood the postop eating instructions and what you did consume and for how long and ask for their help.

I'm proud of you for realizing your mistake and getting back on track. That's excellent. I know it's scary to contemplate calling the doctor, but I'll bet you're not their first patient to fall off the post-op diet. They need to know so that they can help you.

Try not to worry, worrying won't help anything. Just follow the postop plan and call the doc.

Thank you so much!

My husband kept telling me that it was unlikely but if there is ONE thing I'm good at... it's worrying! lol

I'm going back on my diet, ASAP and I will be calling my doctor, he is the nicest guy ever!

Infact... sometimes I think he's too nice.

You know that nice... where it's like... 'really? your really this nice all the time? I'm not buying it.'

But agian, thanks!

I hope I haven't screwed it up already, that would be horrible!
