Deskercise

Recommended Posts

So I work in a call center & I was wondering if anyone has any good idea about some Exercises I can do at my desk in my chair or with out a chair.. it's a small cubical so I don't have much room but I'm there anywhere between 8-16 hours a day. Let me know if you come up with anything clever.

There's actually a little foot pedal cycler that goes under your desk. It mimics the moves of a bicycle.

This article is older but I've seen them around $20.

I do leg lifts to the side and the back (contracting the muscles). I also stand on the balls of my feet and raise my ankles. It works the muscles in my calves and thighs.

Deskercise...:) .....I have a resistance band I do shoulders, biceps, lats and forearms with. Luckily I have a office so I can shut the door for 1 minute while I bang the shoulders out. I do bicep curls all day, with door open. I just put the band under my feet and pull the two handles up. You can increase and decrease the resistance by holding your feet down closer to the handles. Guns are getting toned..... Amazing what 200 curls a day will do :) here is an informative article . I think I paid like $30 for mine.... Watch out for all the camera phone flashes :), dont wanna end up on YouTube's most watched list:)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
