Spring Break Challenge

Okay, I am very hesitant to post the Spring Break Challenge. The last spreadsheet I posted got all wonky, I know my name was moved from the very top to the middle, so I ended up changing someone else's information. I caught it quickly and fixed it right away, but some folks were not as lucky. If I post it, and it is ready to go, we have to all promise to look closely before we change our information, or input our data. Also, we have to remember that everyone is here for a reason, and people make mistakes. Yes, it sucks when someone makes a mistake that goofs your info, so I suggest keeping track on your own, as well. That way, if someone jacks with your data, you can fix it.

The way I have this set up is just like the Christamas Challenge. The first weigh-in will be next Monday. I personally set my highest goal yet, so we'll see. I've amped up my workouts, so I think this will help. I love doing this! It is so motivating!

If you are new to a challenge, just click on my link and it will take you to a spreadsheet on Google docs. Then enter your name, goal weight, and starting weight...where prompted.

Good luck!! Here's to new swimsuits for Spring Break!! (Or ski jackets, if you are a snowbunny like me!)

(Let me know if it doesn't work, and I'll fix it)

I'm right there with ya! I got my first fill on Dec 28th and I feel worse now than I did before! I feel like I could eat a horse if I wanted to! I'm due for another fill on Feb 4th, so hopefully that will help. Good Luck to you!

That happened to me...it felt like I got unfilled instead of a fill. But it got a little better as the days passed. Just keep measuring your food and you'll be ok. I've heard that it takes 3-4 fills (on average) to find the sweet spot. Don't worry we'll get there. I've had my 2nd fill and it's way different, I feel like I can still eat anything and more then 1 cup but at least I don't have that "worse then before" feeling. Hope that makes sense.

Good luck! :)

I am so in. My name was gone on the other spreed sheet. LOL. But this is huge for me, this will bring me to my one year banding date 3/11/10. lets see what I can do.

Good luck guys.

This will be my first challenge and I am in for 30.

Woohoo down 3 lbs this weigh in, only lost .5 in another challenge last week and was sooo upset over it, feels good to be on track again. Doc cleared me to go back to full aerobics and can't wait, zumba here I come :)

some great weight losses posted this week...congratulations everybody.... this challenge is a great motivation....I am determined to lose more next week

Late to the party, but motivated! I'm eleven days post-op. The swelling is going down and the hunger is going up so I need some accountability through the Bandster Hell phase. Thanks for the challenge! rolleyes.gif

Good job rayne913. ondeland way to go. I hit 75 Lbs this weekend. Yea. It sure has been a long process. Ups and downs. I am very happy I have made it this far, as I try not to look at how much more I have to go,

Hope evrey one has a good week,

Had port revision last Wednesday so the liquids for a few days really help me do so much better than expected--down 11lbs in 5 days! With that I moved my goal to 20lbs to challenge myself the next few weeks knowing my success of dropping that much in week will be short-lived!!

What is everyone doing to rev up their exercise routines for this? I tried small jogs on the treadmill....like walk 10 min jog 2 and I feel like I still jiggle too much to jog...any other ideas?

I am a Zumba person as I too am not at the running stage--my gym figures out the calories. For my height and weight, the Zumba class burns 1000 calories.

So far, I've been walking 5 miles, four times a week. (I'm relatively young and with a relatively low BMI, so this is appropriate.) I live on a big hill, so the way down is easy, but the way home is a doozy!! I would really like to start running the downhill bit again, but I tried Monday and then again today, and, at 17 days post-op, it still feels a little uncomfortable in the belly area. Hopefully by next week I will be able to do it. I'd like to gradually increase my mileage to 25 miles per week. My doctor wants me to hit the gym again too, but frankly I haven't had the time. Hopefully that will change.

The exercise and the gradual reduction in swelling is making me hungry though! What is everyone else doing?

My trainer suggested that I could do intervals of either jogging for 1 minute walk for 2 OR increase the incline for 1 minute than lower it for 2 minutes. He said it still gives you interval training and increases your endurance. I noticed too that when I put the treadmill on a steep incline I have to use my stomach muscles more to keep upright as I walk so I think it is really helping to strengthen my core at the same time.

I would like to join the challenge for the remainder. I have already added my name on the spreadsheet. Thanks
