  5. I was banded on December 7th and have lost 20 pounds since surgery. I got my 1st fill on Feb 2nd but havent lost anything. I havent felt any restriction until yesterday. So we shall see how the week go.
  6. I am in. I am 2 months post op and then to get this weight loss on track. I will be checking for updates and instructions. Wooo hoooo:lol:
  7. Ok, So I recieved my first fill on the 2nd while on my cycle and I have gained weight since the fill. 1st, my cycle has come on WHILE on my active birth control pills. It has been full force for over a week. Could this be because of my 40 + weight loss since November? 2nd, I got my fill and has not felt ANY restriction. It is almost like I didnt go. Now I weigh myself this morning and have gained 2.5 pounds this week. Could it be because of this pesty cycle? I need to know before I go workout and pull a muscle LOL. This is driving me crazy in more ways than one. And it doesnt help that I am snowed in with cabin fever. Everything I see I want. I need to get out of this house. HELP!!!!!!!!
  8. Is there a way to know if your stomach has stretched?
  9. How soon after the surgery did you start focusing on your stomach area. I am 6 weeks post surgery. How soon did any of you start?
  10. Don't be nervous dear. Everything will be just fine. You have the December Delights and you will be in my prayers. Besides, they give you something to calm your nerves before you go into OR:lol:. Get some rest and get well soon.
  11. Maybe that is where the problem lay. They had me on my back and up like I was in a recliner. I will try the sleep on side with pillow technique tonight. So do I just hold the pillow or lay it under the side of my belly?
  12. Thanks, I was just saying the other day that buying a recliner should have been on my post op shopping list. I read alot of people not having pain. I wish I was one of them. I believe it has to do with the surgeons and their techniques. There should be one uniform way for this surgery so I am be in the NO PAIN GANG.
  13. Ok so I am 9 days post op, and I can not find a comfortable way to sleep and get FULL nights rest. The crazy thing is, the uncomfortableness overrides the pain meds. Any one have any tricks and when do you feel normal again with no stomach muscle pains?
  14. I am doing pretty well. I know I have earlier posts of pain and yes I was in pain. However, each person tolerates pain differently. I had never had any surgery before so my threshold for pain is VERY LOW. But with this entire experience, I would do this all over again. On your day of surgery, be relaxed. You go in and then you are out. All I remember is the OR table and waking up in recovery. WALK WALK WALK as soon as you are able. It really helps with the gas pains. And if you are in pain, take the meds. No one will think of you as a wuss. Good luck dear. Not feeling hungry all the time is the best feeling ever.
  15. I am so jealous of those you have hardly any pains or gas pains and don't need pain meds lol. I just KNEW I would be one of those people.:willy_nilly: LOL I guess everyone has a different threshold of pain.
  16. Thanks, I have called the nurse and just waiting on a return phone call. But on a brighter note, I am taking liquids and eating very well. :willy_nilly:
  17. As for the pain meds, I would be fine for something less than the percocet they have given me. I have been looking for the liquid tylenol and have been very unsuccessful. I just need something to help me sleep through this port pain at night until it heals. Other than that, I would be up looking at the ceiling. Thanks you guys.
  18. Today makes 1 week since my surgery and everything had gotten better until yesterday when I rode to take my Mother back to the airport. Now I feel like day 3 all over again but with no pain meds. I only have one dose left of my pain meds and this pain woke me up last night. I couldnt move it hurt so bad. Is this a normal reaction when you over do it too soon. Has anyone had this happen? What should I do?:willy_nilly:
  19. this is day 4 for me but I felt the same way the first couple of days. Today was a very good day for me. Just keep walking and take your meds. Every thing will be better soon.:rolleyes2:
  20. I have pain meds but my dumb behind wasnt taking them as I should. It has gotten a lil better and the gas is rumbling in my tummy. I really havent felt like being on the computer much due to the gas and pain. Once the meds wore off, I woke up. So here I am waiting on the next dose to hit me. Thanks for all the advice, it has really helped.
  21. I am in so much pain the day after surgery. They kept me over night and I really didnt feel anything because I was on morphine. Now it has went down hill. I am not sure if it is gas pains, hunger pains or incision pain. I just know it is PAIN. I pray tomorrow is better.
  22. 12 hours from now I will be a bandster. I have also been on clear liquids all day. I am a little nervous about going under but i should be fine. I have to be at the hospital at 6 am so to bed i go. I will be back with updates when i can.
  23. As most of yall may already know, Slimfast has recalled all of their canned products. You may want to talk to your doctor for an alternate if what you are using isn't in powder form. I am coming to a close on my 3 week pre-op diet and have done quite well. As of today, I lost 19 pounds. I gained a pound from a lil snacking I did. I told my nurse and he said with a 19 pound loss, I should feel bad about a lil snacking. My surgery is on Monday and my mother flys in tomorrow morning. I am so excited about the support. I am ready to be on the bandwagon. This journey will be a journey but it is my journey and that is what makes it wonderful for me. See you on the band side real soon.:wink2:
  24. Thank you. I shall return the prayer. My nose has actually stopped running which is a great relief. So I am ready to go!!:wink2:
  25. My surgery is Monday and my nose is running. I also have an occasional cough due to my sinuses draining. I did have a sinus infection and took a Z-pac to clear it up. Will they postpone my surgery due to a runny nose? I hope not because my mother fly in on saturday:scared2:
