Getting a fill?????

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Just a question about fills! I am supposed to get my first fill on Thursday the 13th. honestly don't think I need one. I am averaging about 3 1/2 to 4 lbs a week. I was banded on 12/6. I am finally getting comfortable and adjusting to the forgien object in my body.

I have introduced some fruits and veggies and today introduced a 1/2 of a 1/2 english muffin (made eng. muffin pizzas for lunch). I am not able to eat much (but at times I am also scared to eat). Afraid something will get stuck.

So I guess I am just asking what anyone else would do? If you are losing this much a week would you still get a fill? I was thinking about calling the dr to let them know, and maybe save me a trip to the dr. But not sure if he will still want to see me anyways!

Advise or input would be appreciated!

Thanks,

if you are still losing weight I would wait on the fill. I waited until week 7 and they gave me two thirds of what they normally fill someone. I still had pretty good restriction I was just getting hungrier sooner than 4 hours. But listen to your body dont feel like you need a fill at 6 weeks because everyone else does.

I agree- you probably don't need a fill since your hunger is very much under control. Your doc. will probably want to see you anyway, but honestly I don't think I would bother. Of course, the choice is yours. Congrats on your weight loss.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
