Hi guys. I had my lap band done February 2010. To date I have lost 84 pounds and sooo glad I did this. I just wanted to post for all of those that r suffering and thinking u may b too tight, go to ur doc and get checked out. I started noticing problems the week b 4 Christmas. Well I finally went to the doc this past Tuesday. They did the fluro and the nurse was shocked to c that barely ANTYHING was going through. She took out Fluid and wants me to let my stomach rest for 3 weeks and take something like pepcid.

My sinuses had been acting up so I just kept fighting and saying "oh it will get better". Well if ur ever in doubt.. go to ur doc and get checked out. I am so thankful I did. I feel like a new woman. The only upside is that I couldn't eat all of the good fattening stuff, lol. Seriously though, there is no need to suffer. The band is to help not make you miserable.

Hope everyone has a wonderful New Year. Oh and I just am so proud to say this is the first year I can ever remember that weight loss isn't a new years resolution. I feel so liberated!!!

Best of luck to everyone. We're all in this together!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
