Hi, I am from Clayton nc and I went to Dr Peter Henderson, he works at Rex Hospital also and will held surgery there. Have you hear from him? I was searching about lapband for a while but did not have luck for referrals. This Dr. seems to know what he is doing but I woudl like referrals from him. I went to seminar and Phycologist appt. My Dietittician appt will be next week and I am also planning to attend a weight loss forum at Rex. I was very confused about what surgery to get, finally I decided lapband because it is the only surgery my husband is agreed with for being less risky. Please keep me posted about your success? have you lose weight since the date of your surgery? Are you hungry? My problem is I eat too much and I hungry all the time, I am not eating too much sweets or Pasta I just like to eat.......

I hope you can keep in touch, I really need support in this, it is scary but I am so excited I can't wait to change my life and feel normal again.

I am down 57 lbs, starting weight was 246 at initial consult and this morning I weighed 189.2. Please if you have any questions feel free to ask. I LOVE LOVE LOVE MY BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Morning

I am having mine done at Duke Raleigh, they have a group of surgeons and I am very happy with them. I went to a dr in cary and I felt like I was at a used car lot they were only concerned with how the insurance was going to pay them. Just remember who ever you choose you must be happy with not just the surgon but the whole staff. My Dr. said to look at this as a marriage you must love the staff cause they will be supporting you thru this. I also liked Raleigh Center for weight loss, but they are not on my insurance yet. If you have any more questions just let me know I am more than happy to help ttny007@aol.com

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
