Recommended Posts

:rolleyes2: Today is my 3 months Bandiversary. I was banded 3 months ago on Sugust 11, 2010. I feel great and i have lost approximately 30 lbs since my surgery and 52 lbs including my prop diet.

I have a fill appointment on the 15th, not sure if i need it, but i am losing slow but it is working for me!

Happy Bandiversary to all the fellow bandsters who are celebrating 3 mos this week and next week! I hope everyone is having sucess with their bands! If not please, please hand in there, you can do it!!!!

Congratulations...and 30 lbs is not slow! That's 10 pounds a month. Way to go!

Congratulations. You are doing great. I don't think 30 pounds in three months is slow at all. Like the poster above noted, that's 10 pounds a month. That is about what I lost a month, and I was very pleased with that. If you are satisfied with your meals/snacks and staying full for 3-4 hours inbetween, I personally don't think you need a fill. Of course, that's up to you and the doctor to decide. Keep up the great work!

Thanks so much guys! Well let me explain "losing slow" each week i do not lose i may go 2-3 weeks before seeing a lose. But 30lbs is adveraged to about 10lbs a month. so yes that is good! I love how you guys help us to see things differently!

Hey, I am doing good:laugh:

About my fills, my portions sizes are pretty good, however i am not full for 3-4 hrs. I may only be full for about 1-2 maybe:crying:

Happy Bandiversary to you and to me -- we share the same surgery date! Looks like you're doing great! I'm at about the same 30 pounds lost since surgery. It's a good thing there are other people around ... I was in the same mindset as you as it's seeming like a slow weight loss but when you look at 10 pounds a month, that's great! Congrats to you and let's keep going on this great journey! :rolleyes2:

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
