Stuck on everything....

Recommended Posts

Hello,

So, i just had my fifth fill on Monday... Never felt any restriction. Until today that it is, and I don't even know if that's what you would call restriction, probably not! I felt like I was literally hungry all day long, even after I just ate.. but it didn't matter what I tried to eat, I got stuck on everything.. Got stuck on eggs, Pork Chop, rice, vegatables...... I'm not getting full, just stuck....... HELP?? what's this mean?

With every band adjustment I found that I had to relearn my limits and would have trouble til then. Of course there were times I also needed a litttle unfill.

Best wishes,

Mimi

One thing I would say to check is looking at the foods you listed above are very much trouble foods from most people after they have 3+ fills. Make sure you are chewing the heck outta everything, might be time to give up the rice for now, and also eggs are a really troublesome as they have to be cooked just right too dry or too wet can cause sticking issues.

Thank you for the replies! I am still confused though.... I think maybe it did have alot to do with my chewing and eating slow enough though. Tonight we had beef stew and I actually ate two moderate sized portions; it went down fine, which it was very saucy, and i still wasn't THAT full.... Two hours later after eating I am hungry again; my husbands pizza is really tempting me :)..... I'm afraid if I was to get another fill I wouldn't have hardly any food choices to eat that wouldn't get stuck..... any more advice???? Thanks guys.

I have a similar issue as you. I can never eat early in the day or even early afternoon, so I dont even try (I just stick with a Protein shake). For dinner, sometimes I can eat everything, and sometimes I PB after 2 bites. I am working really hard on listening to my body and stopping the MOMENT I get a full signal (runny nose, kind of heavy feeling in my chest...there are a number of them for me). But sometimes I just get stuck right away and am still hungry. I'm going to go for an appointment in January when I'm home with my surgeon - maybe he'll think I need a slight unfill (although I don't want TOO much taken out).

I just had my 3rd fill for a total of 7.25 cc's. I am getting stuck on I would say 75% of anything solid. Mushies are usually ok and of course sliders. I hate to have an unfill and stunt my progress as I was down 4 pounds last week and 3.6 the week before but I know this pattern of eating isn't normal either. I keep thinking .. chew more, smaller bites, more sauce but I think it may be just a hair beyond that. I have an appt. next Tues and part of me dosn't want to say anything but obviously I dont want any fill either

After my last fill (4th) I was just miserable with everything getting stuck. Went in for a slight (.2 cc) unfill and it was night and day different. It was a scary few days for me not being able to keep anything down at all. Even Water came back up if I drank too much or a little too fast. Not a comfortable feeling at all and for me not something I could live with.

I had what I had hoped would be a slight unfil.. she opted for 2cc's .. way more then I wanted. Although I feel 100% better it's almost too comfortable .. no restriction, almost anything goes down .. I need to get back there before I gain my 30+ pounds back.. She also took some films and is interested in why my esophagus is all pushed to 1 side. She is going to get my post op films from 4 months ago and compare. I am due back this week for more films and a refill..

I feel your pain; I actually had to go and have an emergency unfill today after not eating nor drinking since Friday night....He took out 4 CC's and did xrays.....I am sooooo MAD, Scared, and Nervous......Why 4 CC's...I go back in 4 weeks but heck I don't think I can wait that long.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
