Implanon and pimples

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

Sorry to the men here, this is about birth control (implanon) and the effects of it when you lose weight.

I'd love to hear your stories or stories you've heard!

My friend just lost weight and is on Implanon as well and her aunt flow started to visit monthly again, and she told me it was because the fat around the implanon disapears so it releases more solution, so the body counter-acts by producing more hormones.

I'm starting to get pimples. and I haven't had pimples since I got the implanon, or my period (though my period hasn't re-started...Thankgod for that).

Is anyone else experiencing something similar while on birth control?

Has anyone gotten pregnant from becoming more fertile while losing weight, and been on birth control at the time? The girls at my surgery said when I lose weight I need to take extra precautions, which is fine with me.

Sorry if this offends anyone.

Cheers,

Lauren.

You haven't noticed anything change?

Is the IUD thing the one that goes in your uterus?

I have one in my arm that's surrounded by fat. I'm not looking forward to getting my period again - noooo way.

Ahhh, I see. Mine goes for 3 years.

Not excited about getting it taken out though...I heard if you've exercised a lot with it the muscle grows over it. It was hard enough getting the damned thing in.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
