Tomorrow is the big day! I can't believe I am actually doing this! I am so excited but nervous about the procedure tomorrow. My surgery is at 10:30. I am hoping to be discharged tomorrow late afternoon so I don't have to stay over night. We'll see. I can't wait to move on to the next stage. This liquid diet is getting really DULL! I am happy to be down about 20 lbs. from my starting weight going into surgery. Only 125 to go!

Well... I am happy to report that things went great yesterday and I am home resting comfortably. I am pleasantly surprised at how quickly I was up and moving after surgery. My procedure started at 1:15 and I was discharged at 5:30.The hardest part was waiting since I was supposed to be operated in at 10:30! I feel good but just a little achy today. I hope everyone's banding goes as smoothly as mine  Thanks again for your well wishes.

So glad to hear all went well! I can not wait to follow your journey! I am right behind you - being banded on 10/8! If you have any words of wisdom to share, I would love to hear! HUGS

Hi Ladybug,

My advice to you would be to try to get up and walk around as soon as you can after surgery. It really seemed to help me. Best wishes to you on your surgery. I will be thinking of you on 10/8. I am excited to find others who will be banded around the same time as me so we can track our progress together. How is your pre-op diet going?

Christine

So far, so good! I am really surprised that I am not hungry! And even though I am not banded yet, I had the best NSV on Monday. I had an extremely stressful day and that is when I usually turn to food, but I didn't!!! I was so proud of myself! Take care and keep updating!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
