Banded for three months, just got restriction after my 5th fill. I have 10ccs in an 11cc band. Feeling good!

I have a 10cc band and I would say I am almost there after 2 fills. 3rd fill will be October 18. I can definitely feel restricted if I eat the proper foods, but I don't think it lasts as long as it should. Sometimes I cheat and can tell that the bad stuff is able to slip right through. (Then I make up for it with exercise!) I am learning to listen for signals and I am learning what post-banded "full" feels like. It's not the same as pre-band. All the full feeling is high up - not low like before. I have to admit it is a feeling that, to me, is not as satisfying as being full pre-band. I am, however, satisfied with being able to fit into some of smaller clothes and feeling like I am getting back in shape! Trade-offs and adjusting to a new way of life...that's what it's all about for me.

Ristina, I'm with you and felt some restriction after surgery; had to really watch what I ate or it wouldn't go down. I can feel it building up until I have to dislodge it then I feel 100% better. I get my first fill on Oct. 4 and I'm looking forward to it. I did manage to eat a small steak that was grilled medium-rare and it went down very well. Otherwise, I have to really be careful of what I eat. It's still a huge trial and error at meal times. :smile2:

I was banded on 7/22. I had my first fill of 1.5 cc's about 5 weeks ago. I do have some restriction, but not as much as I know I should. I have the same problem as so many others with pretty good restriction in the morning and daytime but not as much at night. Sometimes at night I can eat whatever I want (not always). I get my 2nd fill on 10/11. Looking forward to it. The way I currently feel I think I will probably only need about 2 more fills to get to optimum restriction, but we will see!

I was banded on July 14, 2010 and have a 10cc band. I had my third fill on 09/21 and I am now at 4.8cc and that is good restriction for me right now. I have dropped 3lbs over the last 3 days! Not normal I am sure but I am not complaining! I was told my my technician that it depends on the size of the band as well as the person, every individual is different. I had spent so much time wondering if I would recognize the sweet spot, and actually my body has told me I am currently there. I have had fills done every 3 weeks following surgery and I am finally satiated. YAY!!! I love my BAND :)

I was banded July 8, 2010. I had my second fill a week ago and HELLO restriction! If I drink half a glass of Water I feel full for about 10mins! I have been stuck many times in the last week and I'm quickly learning what I can and cannot eat. I have 6cc's in a 10cc band.

I have restriction now and only since my 3rd fill, which was 4 1/2 months post-surgery. I have had 9.5 cc in a 14 cc Allergan band for the past ~4 weeks. I now am satisfied with very little food, but also PB with very little of the wrong type of food. Slider foods still go down with no problem for me so I work on eliminating those from my diet as I encounter them. It's definitely a process.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
