Hi there, I too are in the same boat as you. I had a lapband fitted in 2006 and was 98kgs at that stage and lost weight to 72kgs then for reasons I cant really answer as I was at my prime and feeling really really great and loving my new weight. I will say that I was really strict on no sweets etc and ate very well healthy but no much ashad small meals. Any how I guess it came to a stage that my husband and a freind (who is a solo mum) we all were cycling and then our girls decided that they wonted to start dancning so I gave up that day of the week to cycle so that I could take these girls to dancing. This was the beginning again to me being the one to make sure that everyone was able todothere thing. So over the pas 2 and half years I have put weight on and are back up to 95kg !! So i are back to the start. I feel so guilty as I was a self pay and feel guilty that i have wasted our money. I lost my Dad as well 4yrs ago and Dad was the first person close to me to pass. I have struggled with my weight and have no got to the stage where I just dont know how I did it before. I can eat alot and have a very very sweet tooth which is my downfall. I have a 9ccc band and have 8cc in there at the moment, I are wonering if i have streatched the ouch so much that it no longer works for me. My doc here where I got it from is not really that helpfull and I have had to google info on net to try to get answers and find some form of help. I have also in the past 1yr been to doc and he has put me on depression tablets and I have had about 3 different lots and I still are not sure that they are helping... well they may be but I just wont to have my head back to normal ( well hoe I felt when i was at my happy time with my weight) i jsut cant seem to stay in that mind frame - some days i can be really good then bang! some thing or for wome reason i are back to feeling really sad and depressed and i fight it to get out of it but really its so strong it wears me out. :cursing:Oh i sound like a right blimmon sad lady... but i have really always been the positive one in life and everyone thinks that " Oh how do you always stay positive ..... etc) gee if they only new. So I are at the stage that I really just dont know what to do or how to start over and get that feeling of greatness and positive back in my life and no more of this headachs and being tied all the time and being grumpy and self pitty etc.............. ;0(

I think the fact that you are here seeking help is a postive sign! We're all human and it happens. Before my banding, when my brother in law passed away, that was a turning point when I started gaining so much weight that I had lost before that and lost control. The stress and emotional craziness can do that to you...

The thing that helped me was not trying to go back to what i was doing before that motivated me..it was doing something different that was exciting that started my motivation back up. For me, it was getting banded. For you it could be maybe getting a fill if it has been such a long tiem since you have had one to help you get back on track. Is that an option? Maybe if you can see a doctor about having a fill to hopefully get your motivation back?

First off ((HUGS)). A few years ago I lost 50 pounds on Weight Watchers. I was still not at my goal weight but I was keeping it off and then 2 of my close relatives were shot and killed. I gained it all back and then some. Like you I just could not find the motivation to keep going.

I highly recommend you seek some counseling. I've been on anti depressants ever since and it took a while to find the perfect one and the perfect dose but I'm much better now. Much more like my old self. My dh said that I was lost for quite a while and he wasn't sure if I was coming back.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
