Recommended Posts

I am 4 months out and due for my 3rd fill in a few days. Having my second period since April and it is horrible!! I know that when I go for my fill it will show my weight as the same or more!! what the heck is going on? is this due to a period now and practically hemmoraging or just a plateau? I have lost about 38 lbs since May..help!?!? will the next fill help??:smile2:

You have done great! 38 pounds since May is awsome. Yes, your period probably has a lot to do with it. It is probably Water retention. You should see a drop in the scale when it's over. Keep doing what your doing and it will come off. I hope the fill helps. It took me 3 fills to feel restriction. Best wishes!

I'm right there with you. I finally just reached good restriction and it's like a whole new world has opened up. Before that, I was gaining and losing the same 3 pounds over and over.

Now the band is really starting to work. Keep getting those fills and hang in there. It will get better.

I gain about 3lbs every period. It STINKS. But I know it will come off. I chose to skip a 3rd fill this last monday and pushed my appointment out another month because I am not hungry between meals that often so I hope this next fill will be the one for good restriction!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
