I am 6 months out of surgery, and just had my 5th fill. I have 8cc's in my 10cc band. I "think" I have finally hit my sweet spot. For the last 6 months, I could eat pretty much what I wanted, with the exception of breads and most meats. Some days I would throw up Pasta, but the next day I could eat 3 plates of the same pasta. I was getting so frustrated, so the doctor finally gave me another fill. Now, I think I am finally starting to see what the band is suppose to do. I can no longer gulp Water, which before I had no problems with. As for eating, I really haven't eaten anything since Tuesday when I got my fill. I did have two small pieces of cheese and 5 crackers today. I don't get hungry anymore and don't even have to think about food. Unless something smells really good, then I think I am hungry. I am wondering if not eating is ok??? I do drink throughout the day and will sometimes drink a smoothie to get some additional Protein. Am I going to actually start losing weight now??? I have only lost 1 lb in the last 6 months. Any suggestions???

Hope you really didn't mean 3 plates of pasta!!! That's extreme! When you say you can eat anything you want except most breads and some meats, then what are you eating? When I'm tight and losing, I can't eat any breads and very, very little meat. If you are eating chips and slider foods you will not lose weight - no matter how much less you eat now compared to before the surgery. The band doesn't work miracles.......you've got to help it by eating the right foods. You could have 10cc in a 10cc band and still not lose weight if you aren't eating correctly.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
