2 weeks post op..did this happen to you

I am 2 weeks post op now and besides the occasional dehydration I have been great.

I am still on an all liquid diet for another week. Yesterday I had the strangest sensation. My stomach basically blew up and got rock hard..I had a little reflux and I felt a burning pain in my stomach. I went to the ER and they did a Upper GI and showed no signs of slippage. They gave me some protonix and sent me home. I stayed on Clear liquids all day and finally just made myself a Protein shake. I took 2 baby sips and I felt that burn again. My stomach got hard again and I cant drink it.

I was up to drinking about 4-6 ounces of shakes per hour and now I can barely get 3 sips down. Is it possible to have erosion this early on??? I dont know what else it could possibly be..

Anyone have this happen to them...I am trying to think what I did differently and the only 2 things I can think of is I lifted my daughter a couple times which I wasnt suppose to do and I wore my jeans which were a little tight in the waist area.

HELP!!!

Maybe you have an intolerance to something in the protein shake. Food intolerances cause symptoms such as nausea, bloating gas etc .

I've no idea what could be the cause and not heard of that type of experience from anybody else here. Would suggest that you make an appointment with your surgeon pronto. Your symptoms sound serious. Good luck.
