I was banded on May 13 and did very good sticking to my diet for awhile, then I got to where I could eat a cup or more, though I didn't push that. I was able to eat pizza and some bread. Then there was vacation I probably ate more than I should but made good choices, lost 3 pounds on vacation, I'll take that. Went for my first fill June 17 and was told that the Dr. pulled out 3cc and put back 5cc. So I am a little miffed that it was placed with 3cc's but that is Water under the bridge. I have lost 20 lbs since surgery but I am still hungry, it's been one week since my fill, could I be ready for another fill already. What does restriction feel like? I think I may have some restriction as breads are not a food I can eat. I had my first bout of PBing and that was scary. I eat Breakfast at 8:30 and by 11:15 I'm hungry and my stomach is starting to growl. I wait to eat till about 12-1 and am hungry again around 3:30 I eat a snack and am hungry by the time I get home at 6 but it takes awhile to fix dinner so I dont eat until 7-8. Some days I've had to eat a snack while fixing dinner due to feeling light headed and shaky. I am getting my water in, I can drink that in gulps. And am doing the 30 before and 1 hour after. Is this normal for this stage of the game?

Yes, this is normal. It may take many fills before you reach restriction. It is critical that you make good food choices, measure your food and count your calories. It took me many months and 5 fills before I reached restriction...but it was worth the wait! Now I'm not hungry at all and it's heaven. My brain has even been retained to not think about food all day long...buck up little camper! Best wishes!!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
