So I have been struggling or rather slacking a bit with my exercise...

I have decided that if I post my weekly goals than maybe I will be more accountable to myself since I don't like failing in public

Anyone is welcome to join me

Next week I am shooting for 150 minutes of exercise. I will post my progress periodically through the week. Week starts tomorrow! (Sunday)

Have you considered lap swimming? I have knee problems so it is my exercise of choice. I find that after swimming I feel less taxed than when I do the eliptical machine. I swim for an hour at a moderate pace (no stopping). I am pre-band and since I started swiming in 9/08 I have lost 76 pounds. While I improved my eating habits I did not start a really serious diet until my band consult in 1/10. I use a waterproof MP3 player which makes swimming sooooo much more pleasant.

Good luck monkey mama! I live in the gym! Once you make it routine, its easy to stick to. I do VERY intense work outs 6 days a week, twice a day on three of those days. I dont know if you belong to a gym, but the thing I have been doing to trying classes out. I now go to a boot camp, step, zumba, weight lifting, and yoga! Its great way to switch things up and trick your body also! It is soooo fun and now I miss not going if I ever have to miss! Exercise should be fun and enjoyable, not a chore. Keep it up and you will get there. Just try to do things to make it fun for you!

I am in the gym 5 days a week on average from 35 to 50 minutes a day and am burning anywhere from 220 to 320 calories at a time. I feel great afterward but the weight is coming off so slowly!!!

I try to get 150 mins in per week too. I walk 1 mile roundtrip from the train to my office mon thru Fri, but don't want to count that toward my exercise, since my body is likely used to it (doing that walk for 10 years lol).

Monday I did 40 mins of turbojam turbosculpt w/ weights and Tuesday I did turbojam Cardio Party. I plan on swimming tonight when I get home if the weather cooperates, but my back up would be my Hip Hop Abs total body burn dvd (40 mins).

Good luck! Sounds like you're having a good exercise week!

Laura the 150 is for the week!! I usually exercise late afternoon/evening after work. One day this week I went to the gym in the AM because my son slept out.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
