Hi All.

I had my first fill this past Thursday, June 10, 3 cc's.

Sometimes I feel really hungry. I have a minimal amount to eat, for example, a small, sliced up Tomato, and half a slice of baked salmon.

I begin to feel like I'm bursting and can't even finish the rest of the salmon. So I stop. But then I begin to fell hungry again like 3-4 hours later. Is this normal, or do I need another 1/2-1 cc?

Thanx.

You are likely not at your sweet spot yet. How far apart will yuor doc do fills? It is a process finding the right amount. Just try to keep under control the best you can. If the hunger is too much, have extra Protein like a string cheese or Protein shake.

Hang in there - you will get there.

*according to my doctor* and I say these words with the most respect....a half a cup of food should last about four hours. Obviously Protein first, then non starchy veggies. I would say that you are almost to your sweet spot, but that is just me (and I am fairly new.) Good Luck!

Being hungry in 3 to 4 hours is optimal! It sounds like you have a good balanced appetite. Don't worry. I'd be concerned if you said you were hungry within the hour. Which seems to be my problem. My first fill was absolutely unsuccessful. I had no restriction at all, and 5 weeks later my weightloss has stalled. I bought this exercise video that I am looking forward to starting to see if that helps me, but I can't wait to get my second fill on 6/28.

I would say that you are at your sweet spot or close to it. However, some people choose to have their bands a little tight. I do not and weight loss is slow for me. I'm okay with that. But I'm hardly ever hungry any more, which is Heaven! My doctor said that sometimes that "hungry switch" just all of a sudden gets turned off. And mine is off! So, I say it's a personal decision that you must make after you read the responses here on this forum. Oh and by the way it took me 5 fills before that "hungry switch" got turned off. Best wishes!!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
