My date has been pushed back due to the possibility of Esophageal Dysmotility. I had my motility study done Tuesday morning. NOT FUN! My throat was raw all day long after that. :blushing: BUT I should get my results tomorrow and I'll be able to get them to the DR and get them to submit my paperwork. So after an extra month delay I should finally "officially" be able to set my date. :couch2:

Wow not too many CT on here, but anyway.. Got banded on July 30th 2010 and I'm down 30lbs as of today... Total of 60 Since 1/14/10... Finally got a good size fill today.. Really feeling the restriction and loving it! Hope to meet more bandsters from CT especially anyone who lives close by where maybe we can get together work out and keep each motivated!!!

Hey Revolver,

I went through the 6 month thing. It's not a bad thing. I had a nice nutritionist and I had appointments with her every month. I really learned what to eat and I felt so much better after those 6 months of eating well.

My approval finally came in this week. My letter says I'm approved for 12/6 but the surgeon's office said that they will set my date during my pre-op appointment on Nov 4th. I can't believe I'm almost there!!!! FINALLY!

Lucy,

How are things going for you??

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
