1st fill in a few hours - need advice now

Recommended Posts

Oh baby, if your fill doc is any good you won't feel anything. Flu shots are much worse compaired to a fill.

Eat breakfast. Don't stress.

I cried and cried before my first fill. I cried so hard I had tear filled ears! Then it was over faster than you can say "bob's you uncle".

I was mortified that I was such a baby about getting my first fill!

I was told empty stomach. I had my first fill yesterday.

He poked me with a little needed and numbed me up. Then I felt nothing at the fill.

Good luck!

I didnt get numbed or anything.. nothing.. and It was pain less.. what hurt a little was pulling out the needle. and thats not even bad.. felt like a tiny bug bite and was gone in seconds. I was able to eat before and after.. but its up to your Dr. Anyway I know you will be fine!!!

Ok, got it done and it was no big deal. He said I should have gotten filled at 4 week and I'd be down to 200 by Xmas. I got 1.6 cc's - it was no big deal. I go back in 2 weeks for another fill. I feel tight - he said do liquids for 2 days. I won't be scared next fill - it was really no big deal!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
