Ice crusher to make smoothies?

Recommended Posts

Hi - I was wondering if anyone uses something to chop up ice at work to make a smoothie out of a slim fast? I thought about bringing the blender that chops ice - but it is kind of heavy to keep bringing it back and forth from home and work. Does anyone know if there is something small to crush up ice and slim fast for on the go or to keep at work?

Thanks

I use a Tribest Personal Blender- it's like a Magic Bullet, just sturdier which is good for the ice crushing. It's very portable. Just Google it- it's available several places.

Thanks I am looking it up now! They have the 100, 200 and the 300 - which do you have? Do you use it for anything other then the drinks, if not I may just need the 100. thanks

I have just the basic 100, and it's fine for my purposes.

I just bought the shake n' take smoothie make off of solutions website, since starting tomorrow I will be on full liquids and I wantto experiment with smoothies. If if works as well as everyone says it does I am going to buy the extra bottles and make an extra for lunch and put it in the fridge at work that way you don't have to worry about taking the blender with you.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
