Need advise, surgery in 7 days

Recommended Posts

I woke up yesterday with stufy nose, sore throat and chest congestion. This is usally follwed by a cough in a few days. My sugery is in 7 days. I just read someone else sugery was postponed until may b/c of sick with cough. I am frantick!!!

Any suggestion on what I can do now or something I can take now to help from this turning into full blown cold. I really don't want surgery postponed.

Hopefully you have recovered from your illness. If not, you may be required to postpone the surgery. My doctor went through my current condition very closely before agreeing for us to proceed to the OR. My legs were swollen and he was cautious but I told him they are always like that because of my weight.

My banding went well and I am home and resting today.

I was feeling pretty bad the night before surgery. I had a few coughs and sneezes. I really thought I was going to have to postpone, but I had lots of people praying for me and I hoped for the best. I woke up Thursday morning and symptoms were almost completly gone. Surgery went great!!

I am glad yours went well too.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
