Well as of today (4/9/10), I am down 75lbs. :) It has been exactly 10 months and 1 day since my surgery. I COULDN'T LOVE MY BAND ANY MORE THAN I DO AT THIS MOMENT!!!

Not only am I 75lbs lighter, I met another mini goal; I weigh less now than I did when I got married. :tt2:

So instead of the usual treat to myself (FOOD), I've decided to buy myself this awesome Kathy Van Zeeland purse that I have fallen in love with.

WHAT HAVE YOU REWARDED YOURSELF WITH OR WHAT WILL YOU REWARD YOURSELF WITH FOR REACHING A MINI GOAL/GOAL?!?

I'm doing the *very* mini goal rewards! My first 10 pounds I bought a glass "heart" necklace-- since I'm doing something good for my heart. For 20 pounds I bought myself a pair of silver earrings that symbolize "dreams" since I'm making my dream come true. For getting under 200, I bought myself a pair of pink-sparkly-glittery Converse low tops! Just because I love pink!

ETA: I haven't thought of what sort of thing I will do for reaching my goal, or another big milestone... I'm thinking spa getaway... or something!

Sweetbean- we are band twins. I was 10 month out on the 5th and have lost 76 pound since. My next minigoal is 199 - I'm 3 pounds away!

Not sure what I'll treat myself to. Maybe a spa day or a new charm for my Tiffany charm Bracelet.

You are doing great - enjoy your new bag!

Way to go!! I like the idea of a photo, but I will probably take a vacation when I reach goal. I'd love to go to Italy.

For reaching the first 50 I will be going to the spa for a mani and pedi, for 100 I am not sure yet, and when I reach goal I dont' know. DH bit the .1 carat for every ten pounds thing and already had me pick out a new ring rather than have me get my old one resized--in fairness it is my 20th anniversary gift, but still I won't get it from layaway until close to final goal, I hope!

For you successful people reaching goal I have a question. I am a month out from band surgery. I have only lost about 5 lb. The fancy scales at the office say about 17 lb weight retention and now on some diuretics. I have stuck to the program >60 gm Protein, , 60 gm carbs, < 30 gm fat. Have any of you been that slow with weight? calories have been 400-800 for going on5-6 weeks counting pre-op diet.:confused:

Wow! I was just thinking about something last night that I decided to treat myself to when I reach goal!

I had a strange urge last night to try on my old rennaisance costume, most of it all is still adjustable, but my favorite piece was the bodice (corset) and it was too big! It over laped by about 2 inches.

As pleased as Im about the weight loss, I was a little down about the fact that I would have to give it away. SOOOOO

For my final goal, I am going to splurge on an entirely new rennaisance costume! =D

Depending on how my stomach skin turns out, I may get a belly dancer costume and take some lessons. or Just a hot new corset.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
