Does anyone ever feel like some days you can hardly eat anything and then other days you can eat much more? I have been feeling very restricted and since lunch time today I feel like I can eat anything. I am scared that something happened to my band. Anyone else ever have this? :)

Bands can be fickle and none one can explain the reason why. I have read many posts saying the same thing you have said and it happens to me that way, too.

Best wishes,

Mimi

Hi, I'm one week out from being banded and finding the same thing. Mid day a 1/2 cp of cream strained Soup feels like a gallon bubble in my chest, the next time, feels like I could eat 2 cups! Having the same worries but seems to be common, so gonna try to trust the band and relax. hang in there!

I feel exactly the same. Most days I do good but lately I have been feeling hungry. I was banded on March 5th, I guess it's time to get my first fill.

Has anyone got a fill before the 6 weeks? Does it hurt a lot?

Thanks.

I was also banded March 5th and had my first fill March 31st and a second one scheduled for April 20th. Its not the "best" feeling ordeal, but its bearable...

I ate pretty much anything I wanted 2 weeks after surgery, felt absolutely no restriction and after my 1st fill of 4cc's still feel very little restriction.. Im hoping it will get better after the next one.... Good luck.

I have my first fill next Tuesday and I want to go in there ready to ask for some serious restriction because I have been banded for 3 weeks and sometimes I feel very restricted after 1/2 cup of Protein, but most of the time, I could eat another 1/2 cup easy. Soooo, this band thing is very confusing. Sometimes I get stuck and I've even did the slimming thing ( not fun) and sometimes I can eat with no prob ( as long as I chew chew chew)....but foods that have no substance even get stuck, for example mandarin orange slices that I was feeding to my 16month old got stuck, LOL....this is a learning game and I have to say it keeps the day interesting, lol....

Wow! Was your port site healed by the time you had your fill? I was banded 3/20/10 and am ready for a fill but my port site is still pretty sore so that has me a bit apprehensive.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
