well, today i had my first post op appointment and it went great. they took out my stitches, told me i'm doing good, and i found out that i'm actually lighter than i thought by about four pounds. apparently my home scale is about four pounds OVER my doc's office scale. so i will keep that in mind for future weighing. all in all i've lost 12 pounds in 12 days. i'm happy with that!

i also had meetings with my nutritionist and the therapist and have been moved onto mushies. yay!!!! i immediately came home from the appt and had scrambled eggs. they were great and i filled up on just 2 oz. wow!!!

for dinner i had some pureed fish and mashed potatoes. it tasted pretty good after so long of just being on liquids. and once again, full on 2 oz.

they did tell me i need to step up my exercise so i'm gonna get working on that. but i'm excited about my progress so far.

Hey girl great Job I myself have lost 10lbs in 14 days I started mushies and soft food before you. Although I was banded 3/11/10. So my loss slowed down as soon as soft came in the picture, but I think that is to be expected. Just like you Its time to start the excersice. That has been my problem for some time now. Time for me to move on to that stage. When do you get your first fill?

Hi, I had my surgery 3/15/2010 and my post op appt isn't untill 4/20. I am walking but not doing anything else, can't do any other exercise for 1 month. Sounds like your doing well. I have lost a total of 17 lbs, going to start mush food soon so I am right behind you. Can't figure out how to get the tracker on my profile, any suggestions? :Banane20:

thanks for the encouragement ya'll! in answer to some questions... i have no idea when my first fill will be. my doc doesn't do any fills til you're at least 6 weeks out so sometime after that i guess. whenever i'm feeling "hungry" enough to need one. as far as putting a tracker on your profile, you can click on other folks' tickers and it will take you to the ticker maker page. then once you make yours you just post the html code into your signature box. your ticker will automatically show your new weight when you update it at the ticker site.

the others of ya'll who are around the same time out as me, seem to be doing well, too. yay for us!!!

today was my second day of mushies and i'm really enjoying them. it's nice to have some tastes in my mouth again! tonight i had chicken with gravy and mashed potatoes for dinner. pureed of course! but it was still good just the same. although i am worried how the pureed diet will slow weight loss down. guess that's where stepping up that exercise needs to come in.:)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
