Recommended Posts

I had my first fill yesterday..and I can TOTALLY feel a difference! THANK GOODNESS!!!!:) I am having trouble getting in all my Water but other than that all is good so far.

I did try to eat a little bit of chicken and then I started to feel really sick :drool:and got tight so I STOPPED QUICKLY so I didn't get sicker.

I have lost a total of 29.5 lbs since sugery and I am feeling GREAT! Working out 4 times a week, and just trying to do things right! It's not as hard as some say, I mean, we did this for a reason right, so stick to it! :)

I'm supposed to get a first fill on the 18th. I have no restriction now and can eat anything, so I'm on willpower. From what you guys have said the first fill works for a while anyway for most of you. Hope to get the same results since I'm trying hard not to revert to my past life. I'm able to tie my shoes now and I don't want to give that up.

First fill today. liquids made me full so I'm thinking it's working so far! Down 16 pounds since surgery. 30 total! Feeling pretty good too. Needle didn't hurt so much but pushing on my port area did. Ouch but survived.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
