Recommended Posts

This is what I will be asking the specialist tomorrow but I was wondering if anyone here has an opinion...

I don`t eat large meals but I graze and nibble all day ........will having a lap band make me feel full that I won`t want to graze..?? this is what I am hoping...anyone with a lap band that was a all day nibbler ..

Any feed back would be appreciated.....

I also used to be a big grazer. If I was at home and not working i would be back and fore to the fridge all day. With the band i am not really hungry so I do a lot less of it but I haven't stopped completely.I think a lot of it has to do with boredom/habit rather than hunger. On the plus side when i do feel the need for a snack I try to take the time to think and choose something that is healthy and won't ruin my"diet". I usually eat a couple of nuts/seeds, yogurt, nestle diet or crackers with some Protein.< /p>

They say (you know, the "big THEY" who know everything LOL) that it really isn't as well-suited to grazers; it's better-suited for those who overeat at meals than to those who eat small amounts frequently throughout the day.

After surgery, you will be limited to 3 meals a day, or 3 meals and a couple of Snacks (depending on your doctor's philosophy). This does not mean you will no longer want to graze---the band does not magically remove eating impulses, nor does it make it impossible to fit food---especially in small amounts, spread out---into the stomach.

My surgeon said if you are a grazer the band is not the best selection WLS.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
