Recommended Posts

Everything about my experience with him and his staff has been awesome.

Angelica helped with the paper work, Lisa with my postop, Dr. Enoch is the best surgeon ever. I can't say enough about Brett for fills! I really don't know who I am happiest about!

Dr. Enochs did my surgery on March 19th 2010 and it was a great experience, he performed the SIL (Single Lap Band Procedure) through my navel and it's so amazing how far technology has come.

Oh, my appt is next Thursday too. I was mistaken. You can walk ok. I can't. It seems to pull too much on my incision. I move more and more every day though. Today I felt pretty good, my incision is hurting, so I just took some ibuprofen. Hopefully the hurt is a healing hurt, and not something else!!

Yes I am walking pretty good, did a 2 mile stroll on the beach yesterday and about an hour later my port was sore and hurting a little, I took some tylenol and I am much better. I feel even better today then yesterday. How much have you lost so far or are you staying away from the scales. I weighed today and it is down 6 pounds since surgery day, I am ready for my Soup and Protein Shake on friday.

Mine is at 1020 am. But, it seems like the doc is always 1-2 hrs late, so, maybe I'll see you there in the waiting room!! If you think of it, let me know what you are going to wear the night before, and I'll look for you. And, I'll do the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
