Well, I have to confess. During the last part of December and all of January, my weight would go up/down by four pounds. I am doing pretty much everything I usually do but I'm sure there are some things that I could be doing to help myself.:sifone:

I had refused to change my ticker b/c I didn't want to see that gain but I did change it tonight. Gosh 4 lbs up is a real bummer for me. It makes me so mad at myself and it's depressing too.:huh2:

So, starting tomorrow, I am going on a liquid diet for a few days and then soft for a day or two before getting back to solids. I am also going to chart my intake and up my calories from 900 cal per day to 2,000 per my BMR results. Maybe I haven't been eating enough and my body thinks it's starving. Who knows?:frown:

Please wish me luck and I'll consider any advice given.:)

I did my BMR for the first time last night and it said I wasn't eating enough calories either. I am on a Jenny Craig 1100 calorie a day diet and I have been loosing with that. I know how difficult it is to keep going up and down with the same weight numbers (mine has been 1.5 pounds). Just try the increase in calories and see if that works. You just could be correct about the starving thing. Wish you good luck. Hang in there it will work.:huh2:

Okay apologies if this is a dupe post. On the bberry. Anyway, I am having the same issue and have decided to do the 5-day pouch test. Take a look at the posts on it from this week for the details. I am just on day 2, but down 2 lbs. Hoping it will continue.....

Hang in there!

Lolly,

Studies have long shown that women who eat between 1200-1400 per day lose faster than those eating less.

I just read an article that said a new study shows that women who eat 1700 calories a day lose faster than those eating 1200 per day. I'm not sure how they figure that since that's what the calculations say I need just to *maintain* a weight of 229.

Good luck with your changes. I know how frustrating it is to be yo-yo-ing between the same few pounds. I've been doing it for two months...hopefully no longer now that I have restriction after yesterday's fill.

Sounds like you are getting back on track! My suggestion would be to start an excersise program if you haven't already. If you are already working out, increase the time and/or the intensity. Best of luck.

I was typing my message on my blackberry (bberry) lol

The 5 day pouch test is mentioned in another one of my posts below. It helps get you back to basics and has been said to shrink your pouch size just a little. I'm on day 3 so soft Protein today :-)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
