Recommended Posts

I've lost 100+ lbs since surgery, and am absolutely thrilled with the band and all it has allowed me to do.

I really hope 100 is alot better than 66 pounds of loss, cuz I am not happy so far..

and I gained a pound

I am not happy at all

I have never known anything about retaining fluids in my life.. (just something I am left out of, same with yeast infections, I never had one,,) LOL

I know what your saying.. but I gained a pound in a month instead of losing cuz I began eating solids.. (LIKE I KNEW would happen)

No worries though

I have made some adjustments,, here is one.. I replaced chex mix instead of cheetos..lol

arg.. frustrations

sorry

wow! Impressive. Can you give me an idea of what you eat daily. I had surgery 4.5 months ago and have only lost 20lbs. I just got to the "sweet spot". I could use the motivation right now.

I am almost at 100 lost. As of this morning I am down 97. My secret is I listen to my band and stop when I sigh (my sign of fullness) I havent exercised yet but I do chase my 4 and 2 yr olds all day long.

I am happy with my results so far as I only had my surgery 6 1/2 months ago.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
