Dr. Jeff Allen - Anyone used Dr. Allen?

Recommended Posts

I was recommended to use him for my Lap-Band surgery . . . anyone have any experience with him?

I attended his seminar at Norton & he seemed very personable.

I am about to have my lap band surgery the first week of March with Dr. Allen. Both of my parents have had the lap band surgery with Dr. Allen and so far my experience with him and especially his office and support staff has been wonderful. I would reccommend Dr. Allen for sure!

Good Luck!

Dr allen is my dr he is great. My surgery went great and the after care was good.I love his office staff they are so freindly. I have had my band since nov 23, 2009 and have lost a total of 39 pounds. He told me today to keep doing whatever I was doing cause I'm losing great. I do have episods of pbing if I dont eat slow. slow Beans baby bites and let it actually go down before taking more bites. after my fills I have to do liquids sometimes for a week because of the swelling. Then after a week i can go back to solids slowly. I have 5.5cc in my lapband. I exercise everday, I use the treadmill for 1 hour and half. I plan to join a gym hopefully next month so I can use other equipment in the gym. I would like to tone up as I lose more weight. My goal is to lose 40 more pounds by the first of August. I hope to here from others who have dr allen.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
