Eating Plan for 2010 - Getting back on track.

Recommended Posts

I have decided to go to Weight Watchers tomorrow to get back on track with weight loss. I always had good luck with it in the past, but I always gained it back (this time it will be different because of the band though). :rolleyes2:

I am exactly the same weight as I was the last time I went for a fill 11 weeks ago. I had 2cc's put in today. (7 total) This was a difficult time period for my diet because of the holidays, a cruise and a business trip. I'm ready to get back on track.

Are you all going to do anything different or are you losing easily still? Gaye

I hear ya. We are just about in the same place. I have lost 45 now, but it is very slow. As of 12/21, I also have 7cc's in the 9cc band.

I know I eat too much, so I am trying to see how I feel after really only eating a small amount.

After the last fill, I finally have some restriction. I almost had something stuck for the first time, and I have to wait for things to go down. FINALLY!

This is not a fast as I had hoped, but it's still moving in the right direction.

Hang in there. That's what I keep telling myself too.

I also have about 7ccs in my band, and I also have plateaued over the past month or so. I've seen the scale go up and down so much I can't even keep track. My doc says that's what happens in maintenance. Since I've never made it to the maintenance phase the million and one times I've done Weight Watchers, I didn't know. Anyhow, he gave me a slight fill, and I have started back to walking daily, which I had stopped doing when we got 2 feet of snow dumped on us a week before Christmas. I also have sworn off chips, which were my personal downfall over the holidays. And... I am determined to go back to the pool starting this weekend!!!!

I'm glad I'm not the only one making a fresh start. :(

Good luck to everyone!!!

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
