Valentine Day Challenge?

Recommended Posts

Ugh. No loss again. That is two weeks with no movement. I feel like my body and I are in a war over shedding the fat and so far I am losing. I really, really, really, hate plateaus.

I started this challenge at 238.6. I lost another 2.4 pounds this week! I am now at 226.6, 2.6 pounds away from my goal.

I've met and exceeded my goal! My goal was to lose 12 pounds to get down to 254. I'm 253.6 as of this morning! Tomorrow I get my first fill so it'll be very interesting to see how much I weigh by Valentine's Day!

Grrrr up 2 lbs this week to 184. Don't think I'm going to make my goal (173) :-( I've been playing with the same 2 lbs. Meanwhile I'm exercising my a$$ off and gaining? Boooo!

Down to 203. That elusive 199 is getting closer. It is just sitting there teasing me, but I am determined to get there by Valentine's Day. I have really been amping up the exercise. 35-45 minutes with the Wii Fit Plus in the morning and 30 minutes on the treadmill in the evening.

Hi gals. Checking in for Monday the 8th at 181! Down from last week, but my goal is 173, so don't think I'm going to make it. We'll see on Sunday.

I swear I have been in the 180's FOREVER!!!!!!

Woohoo! And the pounds keep dropping! One week to go until this challenge is over, and I'm 4 pounds below goal! Also, I met my new revised goal of being the weight that is on my driver's license. I'm 250! Can't wait to see what the scale says next week.

By the way, are we reporting our final weight as of 2/14 or on Monday 2/15?

Well...I finally saw a loss. 4 pounds! I'm not going to make 15 by next week, but I'm ok with that. I'm happy to see a budge in the scale!! Who knows, maybe I'll see another 4 by Valentines day! That would be ok with me....

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
