I had to get special soap but my Doc gave it to me. I have to use it 3 times, the day prior and day of my surgery. It is hepiclense or something like it. I am scared too. My surgery is Jan 4. I am nervous about everything going smoothly, PBing, getting stuck and wether or not I will actually lose weight. All I can do is give it my very best effort but sitting on the couch watching fat people on discovery health isn't gonna do it. It takes action and I am ready for it. I just have to tell that negative voice to simmer down and focus on all the wonderful things that should come. Big rewards sometimes take big risk.

I did not have to have any special soap, never even heard of special soap.

Never heard of these, if you want a good Protein drink the Adkins advantage dark choc. royale is not bad.

I don't think going out New years eve would be a bad thing it is a week before surgery. If it was me I would. After surgery I had my first drink about a month out, I don't drink much it was malibu and pineapple.

I am soo struggling trying to practice how to eat with the band has anyone struggled and is doing fine chewing, not drinking fluids with food, etc?

All this comes with time, I don't even miss drinking with my meals.

All i can say to this is don't be scared , you are doing this for you it will be the best decision you ever made, The first few weeks are rough but a few months down the road you will be like wow this was so worth it. And you always have this site to ask questions, if you follow the band rules u won't fail.

if anyone can help i appriciate it greatly thank you for reading......

I had the band a little over 4 months ago I am down about 36 lbs , if i had it to do over i would , Good luck keep us posted.B)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
