I'm pleased to be added to your friendship list. I will start one of the most important stages in my life within the next 2 weeks. It has been a very long but well worth process.
If there is anything I can do to encourage and support you, I am here for you. May God bless you on this life changing journey.

Hey Carrie! My summer's been great so far. I've overcome my plateu and have officially lost 100 lbs. I feel so great. I went to my doc 6 weeks ago and she gave me a fill that put me at my "sweet spot" and since that time i've lost 10 lbs.
I had a great 4th of July. I went to my mom's house in Allegan, MI and we spent the whole time at the beach. It was great!
As for you the reason why you are probably continuously getting stuck is because you are upchucking (for lack of a better word) too much and the area has become inflamed. Have you tried going on a liquid diet for a week or so (while you heal) and then tried going back to regular foods? How many cc's do you have?I notice that humidity plays into things alot. on those hot and humid days I have a very hard time keeping food down.

Hey there -- How are you doing? I have not been here for a while and just thought I would check in with you since we were done on the same day. I'm doing pretty good now. Doctor still has not given me a fill. He wants to wait til I hit a stop in weight loss. So in a weird way, I'm thinking I hope I don't lose any this week. I know, I know, that is just plain wrong. Maybe on July 22 I will get my first fill. Just have to wait and see. Well, I hope you are well. Give me an update when you can. Take care!

Hey tayter! I'm still waiting on insurance approval to go to surgery. I'm glad everything is going well for you. How has Dr Sarker been treating you since surgery? Did you have to stay overnight at hospital? Dr Sarker told me I will because of my age (48). I'm hoping to hear from Marva sometime this week that BCBS of IL has approved. Wish me luck and I befriended you so we can give support to each other. Lokking forward to the new journey with you.

I am in now day 6 of my post op but let me update where I came from since Monday.
When they did my Barium swallow just a drop or 2 of contrast went thru. They assumed the Dr. would pull the primer fluid from the band before I left the hospital. did not happen. He assumed that the swelling would go down and I would be fine. Didn't happen couldn't get hardly a thing in my body. Called the Dr. and they said to come back to the office the next morning and they would draw out any fluid in the band. Easy for them to say, I lived 3 hours from the hospital. Got there at 10:30 on Friday morning. They took the fill syringe and went in thru the cut where the port was placed. Hurt like heck. Pulled 3cc of fluid and it was like the dam broke and I open up and felt it immediatly. They gave me a cup of water and it went down and oh what a relief it was. I am now consuming about 500 calories a day. No nausea or reflux and getting about 48 ounce of water and my strength is coming back.

Thank you so much for the feed back. I only work out maybe 2x per week. I am eating around the same amount of calories, but I know the key is to step up my workouts. Girl, you are such an inspiration to me, and I really appreciate you taking the time out to support me. May God continue to bless you on this journey! Again, Amazing!

Hello msdeneen2004:
Yes I exercise. I can't beleive I am saying that seeing how exercise was pretty much a four letter word for me prior to my surgery. I am not an exercise fanatic, but i do try to do it at least 3-4 times a week. I am a big fan of Leslie Sansone. I have about 10 of her videos. She does the Walk Away the Pounds series. You pretty much do walking and variations of walking in your own home. When i first started I could not do her 1 mile (15 minutes) video without being out of breath. I was that out of shape. When I was doing my "hardcore" routine (lol), I would do her 5 mile (about an hour) about 4-5 times a week. Now I try to do at least 30 minutes of exercise (which is two miles) 3-4 times a week. The point is find something you like and do it at least 3-4 times a week. What works for me is the Leslsi sansone videos becasue you will get a good workout, but it is not like a bootcamp "work you til you fall out" thing.

Hello Phyllser, You have come a long way baby!!!!! With weight loss and RVing. You look great! We have a fith-wheel we roam around in. We were down in Texas this past spring. We RVed for two weeks. We are not yet retied. my husband is 55 and can retire but we have my granddaughter living with us and her mom (our daughter). The mom is thinking about the Navy and I recomend it highly to her. Then I think we can set forth and do some good traveling. What kind of dog do you have? I have a Shitzu named Sophie. She loves the RV campgrounds. The smells are what she likes the most I guess. Please let me know how your trip went. Do you have a laptop? and get wifi where you stay? We try to. Good luck to you in your endevors. I have not been banded yet but hope to be soon. Wendy Ann

Good Morning Claudia,
Im glad you got that resolved. Glad we both got this resolved & now continue on our journey. I see him on Tues @ 9:30 am. I think I will get thru this weekend just fine. Cant wait to get my 1st fill. It has been a long 6 weeks. Ive been doing ok wth my eating but starting to struggle at night. Keep wanting to snack but stop myself so Im really hoping this fill will give me some restriction but most important keep me feeling full longer. Let me know what time your appt is at maybe we can connect. Have a great weekend. The weather will be really nice

The words that your friend shared with you are very inspiring!!!! This journey of regaining our body and the image that we want people to see is all a matter of believing that we are WORTH it. I will have to read that statement a couple of times but I have the point of it planted in my soul.
I am very funny..... I am the funny fat girl that always has a joke to share. Now I just want to be the funny girl. I went to the Pulmonary Doctor and he cleared me. Next week I have the endoscopy exam..... The nutritionist is in October. I have been cleared by everyone else..... Now, I just weight the 6 months as required by insurance.

Talk anytime you need. I truly understand, this December will be 6 years since my brother died (he was 24 yo and died in a motorcycle accident). Your sister sounds like she was the type of person that brighten a room as soon as she walked in. I also know that weight loss is very hard after during grief. So good job for all of your weight loss!!! Hope you have a good week.
