    Attention ! Australian Sleevers

Sounds like what you are describing is the effects of ketosis occurring in your body. It's when your body is burning fat at very high rate and using that fat fuel for energy. I made the same query today at my monthly check up - told to drink as much Water as I can manage - not sure if it's what you mean you are experiencing though. Google ketosis breath and see if that's what you mean. Good luck.
  2. I'm sorry Telly....I can't resist responding to your query.... advice on how to "break in" a man? SIMPLE..... ...ride him long and hard and put him away wet! :embarassed:

Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris

I am writing to summarize our consultation today when we discussed having a bilateral brachioplasty, a mastopexy and a fleur-de-lys abdominoplasty with liposculpture to any excess areas of fat overthe hips, lateral breasts and flanks. A short scar brachioplasty involves making a horizontal incision in your axilla, as well as a vertical incision about half way down your arm to be able to both pull up your upper arm skin as well as tigten it cercumferentially. this will be combined with lipo sculpture to deal with any excess fat and then the excess skin is excised and the wound closed carefully using buried absoroble stutures. the closeure is tight enough to cause swelling of the hands but this is common with this type of brachioplasty and i have to be careful not to injure nerves that supply the inside of the arm and forearm but again great care is taken to avoid this as with any operation it is possible to get problems with bleeding and infection or wound breakdown but all of these are fairly uncommon. An abdominoplasty involves a lower abdominal incision which is deliberately put within the bikini line the lenth of the scar will depend on the size of the abdomen the wound itself is closed with sutures that are buried and underneath the skin and disolve to minimise the amount of visible scarring however i would stress that the quality of the scar depends very much on how u heal as a individual. Through this incision the entire anterior abdominal wall skin and fat is freed up as far as the rib cage an incision is made around the umbilicus which is left attached to the abdominal wall from which it gets blood suppl. The access that we get to the anterior abdominal wall allows us to carry out what is called a keel repair which is tightning of the abdominal wall using a permanent nylon stuture i several layers rather like putting in a internal corset this can feel extremely tight very much like a corset that cannot be loosened but this does settle a little with time it can make patients feel uncomfortable if they try have a large meal and for that reason it sometimes help if people loose weight. The abdominal skin is then pulled down and it is usually possible to resurface the entire abdomen using upper abdominal skin such that the lower skin can be removed and disgarded the wound wil then be closed over 2suction drains and these drains remain for 3to6days depending on how much they are draining if the drains are removed too early fluid can acumulate giving rise to what is called a seroma this is not particularly serious and if a seroma does develop it is usually quiet easy to drain it off in out patients but we do try prevent this by leaving the drains in for long enough even if it means u going home with drains in position U should expect to get some numbness of the lower abdominal skin which does persist for months but does not appear to be a long term problem as with any operation its possible to get problems with bleeding infection delay in healing especially risk in people who smoke and in the pressence of a great deal of excess fat . A keel repair can be slightly uncomfortable and it can be 3to4wks before patients can return to work we normally keep patients in bed for the first day after the operation and for this u will have a urinary catheter which wil be removed on day 3 when we get u up and a bout other risks involve deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolus but every precaution is taken to prevent this using intermittent calf pressure both during and after the operation as well as ted stockings On u i will be carrying out a fleur de lys abdominoplasty because of ur excess lateral skin so that i can pull ur skin in from the side to give u a rather better waist than u have at the moment and also considerably reduce the amount of excess skin and fat u have in a circumferential direction i have stressed that it is difficult to predict the quality of the vertical scar but i think it wil be very difficult to properly correct ur excess without doing this. I have talked to u about a breast uplift or mastopexy which will involve tightening up ur existing breast skin without removing any of ur breast tissue this produces a scar around the nipple areola with a scar coming down from this to join a scar underneath the breast so the whole thing looks like a anchor. we do our best to make ur scars as neat as possible using stutures that are buried underneath the skin and disolve but the quality of ur scar wil depend very much on how good u are at forming scars as an individual because we have to take time and gravity into account u will find that initially ur brests are a little bit flat underneath with a slight boxy appearence this is to take account of the fact that they will tend to droop slightly with time and we are trying to give a good long term result I know u are concerned about being to small afterwards but this is just an operation that tightens the skin and does not in any way decrease the breast volume so its equivalent to wearing rather a supportive bra i have said to u if u feel after that u are too small then it is certainly a straight forward matter without causing any additional scarring to carry out a breast augmentation and this is certainly a much safer and simpler operation to do as a staged procedure rather that doing it at the same time as ur mastopexy if u have any queries u musnt hesitate to contact me when u come in for ur opreation i will be seeing u before the procedure and will be marking u so u can see where ur scars will be and have some idea of how u will look after
  4. Hi there. Sorry for delay in replying, I get so caught up in every day life I don't get to check this forum as often as I would like.

Well.... things moving quite nicely for me eventually. I have my first appt with consultant's team at Derby on Monday 18th at 2.15pm. I'm really excited.

One of my friends has her first appt this coming Thurs in Glasgow. Unfortunately her local authority don't do banding, so she's going to have to go private, but so far we've gone through all the research together, so we're really glad our first appts are only days apart. By the time she's saved up & I get to top of my waiting list (if I'm approved) we should be due to have op around same time too - ie hopefully December 2008 :D

I'm just about to start my own thread. Most of my qualms & queries have been covered elsewhere, but not the diabetic aspect, so gonna see what anyone can tell me about that.

Good luck :D - Carrie xx

  5. Hi Debbie, Just outside Glasgow , Scotland . NHS no one intrerested , despite constantly being reminded everytime you meet with any of them , diabates , heart attack , blood pressure ... blah blah blah ......GP was against it , my Dietician at Hospital was against it , always saying you dont need it , yet Ive been fighting my weight most my adult life , depsite being at heaviest in excess of 20 stone , Im kinda chunky all over LOL , even when in Hospital getting the band fitted the nurses chatting , ooh you dont look like you need this .. but at my weight a couple of months ago , my BMI was in excess of 40 , ie morbidly obese , like you say they chop and change like the wind the medical profession at times. Anyway what did bring it on and my decison to finally go with it privately , I have also been having problems with back , to extent last year I was flat on back for three months , I have compression and protruding discs , the specialists will not operate and fix due to my weight, they even feel if I lose 5/6 stone the problem will become manageable , the pain will ease and I will regain full use of my leg again if I get weight down. Im relatively young only 43 , still 2 very young kids and well it wasnt a really hard decision , it was get the weight down at whatever cost .. the back problem is degenrative and will get worse but neuro specialist says , the lighter I am and get my body down to , the less wear and basically the longer I put off the situation worsening to the extent I have very serious problems. Even getting the weight down and still have problems later , they will if I wish operate to try and fix ... its not a easy fix answer so my last resort .. the weight loss best option I felt to attack and conquer first. oops forgot , yeah the tablets , no I was aware re size , I had even read it in my research , just simply on the packet it saying do not break up, I coonvinced myself ah well must be ok , in hindsight what I should have done was not take any , and called the consultant next day and queried, but at times one just doesnt think right do they LOL .. ( LOL laughing now wasnt last week :scared2: ) and Hi JayTee , You left our great Nation ???? ........... Lucky You  , just seems to be going downhill these days , get the weight down , retire and find meself somewhere sunny I think .. so I can bask in the sun with my new manly body ...

How to choose an ecommerce product?

In the part I, I had discussed briefly about how most of the small businesses go about selecting a product, whereas a successful small businessmen would be careful and would evaluate the product based on various aspects listed below before making a choice. I will relist all the important factors, which one should consider before buying an ecommerce product (www.ritecart.co.uk) or software for their company. 1.Ease of configuration 2.Ability to Scale 3.Useful latest features 4.Available marketing tools with the product 5.Ability to analyze data (analytics, not only google analytics!!) 6.Reports 7.Integration (with other modules, Like epos with near realtime online/offline synchronization of data and other packaged application ) 8.Customer Service 9.Technical Support 10.Technical Implementation Aspects 11.Build vs Buy Ease of Configuration- It is very important that the product is configurable and suited for one’s current needs and future needs, Like some of the things one may want to determine that how easy it is to ·Add products, categories and catalogs. Can this be dynamically created using administrative tool and dynamically displayed on the user side? Can it support multiple images with different resolution to be displayed on the user side? ·Look and manage all the orders placed by the administrator? Before placing the order, does it check for inventories? Does it notify the administrators, if the inventories go below a threshold value? Can the administrator mix and match the shipment to the customer? ·Create new sales store and new warehouses for inventories? Can the store’s inventory be picked up from different warehouses? ·Define several types of prices for the same product like list price, default price, component price, sale price etc? Can the price be dynamically setup using a rules engine? ·Associate a product with host of features like size, color, height, width, UOM, density, length etc? Can the product be setup and shown on the user side on any of the feature mentioned above or any of your new custom features? ·Return an order, look at shopping list/wish list, browse through the items last visited, go to most popular products in store, discounted product or special product in store, look at promotional products, place a review on the product, recommend a product or provide a valuable feedback and look at the products which are most sought by the people who had brought the same product as the customer in past? ·Can I select or add a new payment processor easily? I may want to use PayPAL today but I may need GoogleCheck out tomorrow. How many Payment engines does the product support? ·Customize my shipment company or add a new shipping company? Can I integrate directly with ups, RoyalMail, USPS, Fedex etc? Technical Support In the same vein, one shouldn’t have to jump through hoops to get someone to aid you if there is a problem with your online store—so make sure the service providers have experienced, reliable technical support and are committed to fixing a coding error or bug quickly. Quality counts; be assured that your ecommerce service provider (www.palindromesoftware.com) has people behind and are equally committed to quality and the customer experience as you are. Technical Implementation Aspects This is one of the most neglected factors by the ecommerce customer community. Remember, Ignorance is not always bliss. it is important to understand that the product development technology plays a vital role in defining product features, customization, support and ease of product usage. It is fairly common these days to use a scripting language to build products because that is the easiest way to build a product for the product supplier!! I encourage customers to ask some specific questions, to name a few ·How can I customize the product behavior? Does it use XML or Property files? ·How can I change my query? Can I change without looking into the code? ·How can I change the content? ·Can my Home page flash dynamically pick up product images, price and other details from my database ·What language is used for development for product? Scripting language like PHP and others are a huge no, no. Make sure that your product is built using a software language like Java or .NET (most preferred ones) ·Can I add more modules to my product? How simple is it? Is the development Object Oriented Our product RiteCart (www.ritecart.co.uk) is built using robust MVC/Struts framework, which is modular, extensible and configurable. Technologies used in this product are Java, XML, BSH. Build vs. Buy Over the period of time, this has become one of my favorite customer questions. Build or Buy? I usually answer this by asking a question- how much ROI do you expect out of your ecommerce investment and product? Building is an expensive option (not from cost point of view but from ROI Point of view). You can build your solution using one of these options 1.Build with a good reliable vendor onsite (with or without an open source solution) 2.Build with a good vendor offshore 3.Build with a small vendor onsite/offshore 4.Go for your own development with some open source tools Point 1, 2 &3 are feasible but one should ask himself the following questions, is the cost feasible? Will the vendor understand all the functional needs of the ecommerce solution? How long has the vendor been in the ecommerce solution market? Will the solution be ever built? Will it work as per expectations? Can the software vendor be relied upon? How much time will it take? What impact does it have on my business if it is not delivered to my satisfaction? Finally for option 4, if you decide to pursue an open-source application to manage your store, make sure to thoroughly research and examine your options. Is the project continuously updated, or has it been stagnant for a long time, with very few updates on the project and very little news as to where it is headed? Several open-source solutions are released every year. However, very few have the longevity that you will need to be used as a foundation for your online store. Examine the programmers behind it, and others who use the program. Buying option is a much easier option. One can feel and see the solution. One can make sure that he has got everything in the product he needs. Also, he can be rest assured that the company has the required functional, technical and support expertise to support all of his needs. Finally, look at the company that’s behind your eCommerce solution (www.ritecart.co.uk). What have they done in the past? Are they a growing enterprise, likely to continually make improvements to their firm, and pass on those benefits to you? When considering a package, make sure that the company you are dealing with is credible, with a solid reputation to back up any claims. See where your customer and technical support will come from. Is it in-house or out-sourced? Do they have a solid, supportive community in the form of a forum, blog, or network of satisfied eCommerce businesses (www.ritecart.co.uk)? Examine the philosophy behind the company. Ask for references or email others, who’ve used their services in the past, and see what they have to say about the different aspects of the company you may be working with. These are the people who are going to help you build your business and make it a success; so choose wisely. Ritecart product (www.ritecart.co.uk) is sold in two flavors (Lite & enterprise). If you are looking for ecommerce software, Please request for a quotation from our Sales team. We have got the right product for you tagged with the right price!!! Author is working as a Senior Retail Analyst with Palindrome Software Labs (www.palindromesoftware.com).
  7. I have the same am/pm problem and can only get down a few bites of anything in the morning. At night it's the exact opposite, and I am at my sweet spot! Very frustrating indeed. I think part of it has to do with the physical causality, but just as much may have to do with psychological (i.e. I have always had more of an appetite in the evening.) It certainly is an interesting query though. If you find a way to counter that night-time hunger, let me know!

    income tax question

I think you get something like 20%, I'm the same, I gave it to my tax lady. However what I didn't know, which was helpful, was that my husband as the bigger earner, was allowed to claim it on his taxes. I'm self-employed so it wouldn't have made much difference to my tax return. Also, make sure you have a proper receipt from your clinic as the tax department will flag you and ask for a copy of the receipt. (I originally got a statement, and not a bill) It is the amount we are claiming that brings it up for a query. But I was asked for it, and faxed them the invoice and I got a letter saying all was well. My accountant warned me that would happen, so I didn't freak out or worry about it. At least we get something back! Mary
  10. I am 4 months post op. The band has done little as yet. My weight has not changed from the initial loss on the liquid diet. The company I have used, say that I can only fill at the rate of 1 mil per fill, every 4-6 weeks. I am upto 6 mill now and they also say that it won't work properly until 7 mill is in there. (It's a 14 mill band...I am a 6' male). Until I had the 6 mill fill I could eat a meal almost as normal, occasionally getting the 'something stuck' feeling if I ate too fast. Since the 6 mill fill I get a 'something stuck' feeling after only 2 mouthfulls of anything other than sloppy food. I have now discovered what I will have particular trouble with, chicken and bread, these seem to stick more than anything. Because of this I give up eating the meal and am hungry again within an hour or two. Before the 6 mill fill I would get this feeling occasionally and after it had cleared (2 minutes) it would not come back during that particular meal. My query is this: Am I waiting for food to pass through the band therefore causing a back-up and the 'something stuck' feeling? If so when that feeling clears the food must have passed through the band.....surely that's not the idea? Is my band set too high????
  11. Good day all, I have a couple of last minute gastric bypass queries (laporoscopy if all goes well): Where exactly will the wounds and dressings be - high enough to wear underpants and pants without interfering with them... do T-shirts / night shirts have to be much looser than normally to accommodate the swelling and dressings? Also, is anyone on Seroxat (UK) (Paxil in US) and could they please tell me if they were able to crush the tablets of if they had to ask for liquid form prescription. Many thanks in advance to all for any advice. Best Brigitte

    My fitness pal

I have been using the app called "Lose it" which seems to better integrate with Apple Health Kit. Apple health is a database that is included with IOS, apple's built in software. The advantage of Apple Health integration is that the apple watch and other step and exercise data are automatically fed into the app. Plus any other app that queries the Apple Health Kit database can pull up your nutrition intake that you have entered into Loose It. This app has a bar code scanner and has a huge database of products. Really easy to log food intake, set weight goals and monitor calorie consumption and burn levels. WN

jinty, jinty, jinty... You really are 27 kinds of special aren't you... None of them particularly good... Anyway, I'll address your queries in order... Have just started a rant thread and come back to this one and I have now got snot flowing out my nose because I snorted with laughter. This thread is costing me a fortune in loo paper (for blowing said snot out when laughter has stopped!). Use your sleeve... Or someone else's sleeve... Not the sleeve that removed your gizzards... The arm of your shirt... Or the curtain... You get the drift... can you tell me if I can suffer from Water damage? Yes I can... Yes you do... But water damage is the least of your problems when it comes to damage... But you know that, don't you... Not one of my dogs has even got out of our bed yet but I am now feeling guilty that it is 9.41 and I haven't got up to take them for their walk yet. Don't feel guilty... If the dogs REALLY wanted to go for a walk, they'd get their hairy arses out of bed and walk... I have to drag my hairy arse out of bed each morning and fend for myself, why should't they?? Do you think that if this weather continues my staples and my hip replacement might suffer from rust damage. If this is the case what is your suggested course of treatment? I think I can solve your rusty staples problem... I have another vict patient who happens to be 'pooping staples' at the moment... I'm not sure how good her aim is but she seems to be serious about taking her 'pooping' to the next level... I'll get her people to call your people and you can do lunch... Or not... I don't care... And as far as water on the hip goes - you simply require a tap on the thigh.. (it's an oldie but an oldie).. NEXT!!!!

Thank you for your query LipstickLady... It's a question I've come across a lot in my life. Mostly because of my own levels of awesome. The best advice I can give you is this - Don't fight the awesome... Accept the awesome... Embrace the awesome.. Abuse the power that the awesome gives you... Manipulate people into doing whatever you wa... Ummmmm... Anyway... Yes... Don't fight the awesome... If you've got it... And you (and ONLY you) know you do... Flaunt that awesome b*tch (or nice lady)... F*ck I'm wise... NEXT!!!!
  15. Hi Julie, Thanks for your emails of support over the last weeks they have been great. I had the jitters last night and thought about changing my date but spent an hour on the phone to Bridget and she talked me through the whole process again (she has the patience of a saint) and I feel really positive now and have paid my deposit, booked my trains and now my adventure is about to start. I have to agree calling Europe Surgery was the best thing I have done they have organised everything for me and literally been on call 24/7 to answer all me queries. I have now spoken to lots of Bridgets past patients and they have all made me feel very relaxed and have helped me confirm that I am making the right decision. Having some one in the UK to help me do all this has just made my life easier and I am now looking forward to the brand new me appearing in about 6 - 12 months. Thanks to everyone for all their support and a big thank you to Bridget and her team. Anyone who wants to ask me an questions about my experience so far just inbox me and I will reply. Big Daddy D over and out
  16. Okay.....this is going to be one of those rambling "off your chest" sort of posts. Emotional upchucking at its best (yeah, I know, I put it so delicately, don't I? I'm such a frail southern blossom of femininity.). Seriously, though, sometimes I feel as emotionally hormonal as an adolescent! It directly correlates to a big sudden drop of weight and the release of fat locked hormones into my bloodstream. I intellectually know this, but I hate _feeling_ like this. Combine this with how stupid I feel about how _frustrated_ I feel and I feel like a mess. I guess for all of those who don't speak "Lyra" I should probably explain this.... I've spoken before about how it takes awhile for the mind to catch up to the new body. People treat you differently and suddenly you're dealing with flirting, and come-ons and half the time I'm bloody oblivious to it all because nobody has looked twice at me in years! And no, I'm not complaining, because it's awesome, but I feel like I'm speaking the same language as everybody else, but with a different dialect so that things get lost in translation. It rather reminds me of when I went to England as a teenager and had a little misunderstanding involving biscuits vs. cookies. Basically I need the Rosetta Stone for social situations. I thought I had outgrown my lack of social acumen in my late teens, but apparently not so much. I've gotten myself into some really embarrassing situations because of my oh-so-charming inability to read the bright neon social signs. Add the above together with the fact that I caught Ebola (translation: the flu) for three days and was a miserable wreck of a human and it's been a crazy week. Literally, if a ninja had suddenly broken into my home I would have gladly asked for a quick beheading. Ya'll, I highly highly HIGHLY recommend getting your flu shot this year because you don't want what I had! Granted the flu got me over my little 189ish lb stall (185 now! huzzah!) but it meant that I lost those four pounds in 3 days. Thus my poor body was inundated with hormones besides having to deal with Bubonic Plague. Add on that I feel sad (for no reason, life is good!), frustrated, exhausted, and moody and I'm sure my coworkers are loving me right now. I loathe feeling so overly emotional and finding ways to channel it has been interesting. Running seems to be the best method I've found, along with working on my artwork. Strangely enough though I don't think my bosses would like it if I went for a couple mile run when I should be decorating cakes! *amused*. I know that this too, shall pass and I'm aware enough to be able to reason out why I'm feeling this way and that that it's purely biological. If I follow the normal pattern I should be back to 'normal' within another few days as my body absorbs, processes, and resets...but man, is it aggravating while it's going on! So my query to all you fine readers out there; Does this happen to you? How do you deal with it when/if it does? Any good stories that may bring a smile to my poor, wan face? *puppy dog eyes*. The flu is good for nobody's complexion, lol!

    5 days banded

im down 10 lbs. i was told that the first 6 weeks were all about healing and letting the band settle; and also not being able to eat. thats not all bad considering that i have absolutely no appetite. in the last week, i've had one butternut squash campbells soup (two sittings) with no problem. a day later i tried the roasted pepper soup (yuk). a day later i tried some grits. yup grits. i was craving them. i had 1/4 cup and made them really runny. cream of wheat consistency. tonight... a soft scrambled egg. heaven!!! i ate it soooo slowly. savored every bite. AND IT STAYED DOWN. yeha. inbetween all of that food, i've kept myself well hydrated. reading many of the posts, queries, replys, cries, and goals, i have gleaned lots of tips from bandsters and future bandsters. yesterday i was able to work for one hour before i went home and slept, today i put in 6 hours... tomorrow i must begin working full days. we'll see what tomorrow will brings.

  19. Well, I just went to the market. Partly to get out of the house, partly to get in some supplies. I feel OK. A little light headed and a little bit of stinging around my wound, but the walk was no problem. I bought some consomme soup and pro-biotic drinks. I also bought some Spirulina. Does anyone else take this? My local health food store said it is a good source of protein if you're on a liquid diet. It also has B12 and Iron in it so should prevent hair loss. My doc also recommended Prune juice to try and get things moving - and dammit if I can't find it anywhere! I bought some prunes and will make my own in the blender with some apple juice and water. If I pass it through a seive it should be thin enough I hope. I came home and had half a can of consomme (in two attempts) and I feel full as an egg. Hoping I'm not eating too much, but I'm also worried about passing out - I do feel quite light headed and can't even concentrate to the Telegraph crossword, which I usually do in an hour. Another query for you guys - Driving - how long until it's OK to drive? I suppose I should check with my insurance. I know after a Caesarian it's 6 weeks but I'm hoping to get back to driving soon. I succumbed to the temptation to step on the scale this morning. 2lbs down! Doesn't meant anything I know, but at least I can update my signature!

Doctor Recs and Pricing in Los Angeles

I had my TT at UCLA, I forget the Doctor's name, it was too many years ago. So really, I'm not much help for your actual query. But, why I'm really here is to let people know that plastic surgery isn't always cosmetic. If you can document things like rashes, infections, and back pain with failed interventions, it becomes a medical condition rather than a cosmetic one. It becomes 'reconstructive surgery' which insurance often pays for. My TT didn't cost me a penny. Good luck, Tek

I will relist all the important factors, which one should consider before buying an ecommerce product (www.ritecart.co.uk) or software for their company. 1.Ease of configuration 2.Ability to Scale 3.Useful latest features 4.Available marketing tools with the product 5.Ability to analyze data (analytics, not only google analytics!!) 6.Reports 7.Integration (with other modules, Like epos with near realtime online/offline synchronization of data and other packaged application ) 8.Customer Service 9.Technical Support 10.Technical Implementation Aspects 11.Build vs Buy Ease of Configuration- Integration Integration is one of the key non functional requirements; one should look at, before choosing ecommerce software (www.ritecart.co.uk). Some of the key questions would be how easy is it to integrate with third party software? Does the ecommerce provider have the pluggable modules provided like Epos (Online electronic Point Of Sale) and Accounting package? Palindrome Software Labs (www.palindromesoftware.com) has been very successful in marketing and selling its RiteCart enterprise product, which has ecommerce, epos, accounting and other pluggable modules. Major sales in the RiteCart enterprise have been the epos and ecommerce combination. RiteCart (www.ritecart.co.uk) has n tier architecture for its epos module. Epos module has online/offline synchronization with the order management, warehouse management and ecommerce module As I said earlier, ecommerce solution should be the tool for business to enhance its marketability, sales and in no way should limit it. Customer Service Any online retailer will understand how important customer service is to maintaining the success of a business. In choosing an eCommerce package, as a consumer, customer support is all the more important. Make sure that eCommerce software provider does provide with the elements you need to keep an online business operating at its peak level at all times. Does the vendor offer notifications regarding product updates or enhancements, personalized service, and technical support? Is there an option for an online help with live chat and IP2IP calling (www.supportnow.biz)? Keep in mind that the eCommerce solution provider should offer the same individualized service that one would want to give to his customers. UNEXPECTED SIDE EFFECT!?

the smell of food post op really got to me, oddly enough. which kinda stunk cuz i had to feed my 9 year old. but it got better over the course of a few weeks. but i am with lara...i cant sit at the table. when i am full i HAVE to get up and leave. for a handful of reasons...i used to eat and eat even after i was full and i dont want to start that habit again. if i DO eat too much i get sick and i hate that. and so, to avoid it, i get up and do something else. It is getting easier, it just takes time to adjust to all these new habits we are making Oh, and i LOVE to cook too, and i have more fun now, trying new recipes that are healtier. sparkpeople.com has a great query for different recipes for different diets. its awesome!! and delish!!

  24. Your dietitian and bariatric support team will prescribe some foods and drinks that you will consume just about every day so it makes sense to buy these items in volume. I love Facebook. It’s a way I can stay in touch with my patients (and their families) here in New Jersey between office visits and once they are on maintenance after reaching goal weight. I recently posted a query asking my post-op patients what healthy staple items they buy from the big warehouse stores—BJ’s, Costco, Sam’s Club--and I received many helpful responses that I’d like to share with you. Armed with these terrific recommendations below, you’ll eat healthier, save time, money and require fewer trips to the grocery store during your weight loss journey. “What "go-to" items do you purchase from warehouse stores since weight loss surgery?” · Premier protein shakes · Protein bars · Sam’s chicken sausage with mozzarella · Muscle Milk · Liter bottles of water · Optimum Nutrition protein powders · Frozen Mahi Mahi filets · Cranberry almond chicken salad in 4 oz. cups. · Chicken breasts and ground turkey · Baby Bell light cheese · Frozen veggies · Veggie burgers · Salmon fillets · Fresh spinach · Probiotic 10 and Fiber Gummies · Ready-to-eat veggie tray · Gold Standard Whey, Kirkland Fiber Caps, Opti-Fiber, Kirkland Calcium Citrate · Mini cucumbers · Bagged chopped kale salad · Kirkland plain Greek yogurt · Kirkland citrus green tea, Crystal Light · Figgy Pops, Healthy Choice fudge bars · Quinoa · Chia seeds If you are a member of these clubs, take an hour or two and really peruse the aisles in search of healthy products that support your nutrition plan. Keep in mind, many food items can be frozen and thawed when you need it to avoid spoilage. Ask your IWL dietitian for more ideas or bring in a sample of a food or drink you’re not sure of (take a screen shot of the nutrition label before you buy it). If you’d like to friend me on Facebook, I can be found here.
