  1. -why are YOU fat? And it confirms to me that there is a whole psychological thing going on, e.g traumatic events in the past etc. it made me take a deeper look at my self, and as I can no longer stuff down my past with food

  4. finally on to Stage 3 (Soft Foods) today. Enjoying an egg fried in olive oil for breakfast!!! (Don't forget to eat those healthy fats...you will certainly lose your hair on any "diet" without them). ;)

  13. I am in charge of my body. I am in charge of my food intake. I made the decision to have surgery. What my friends are eating, what my husband chose to eat, is not my problem. It does and should not affect the commitment that I made. I am done feeling sorry and making excuses. I can not continue to play victim anymore. I am in charge and in control. Every decision, every food choices must be to better my life. I can not and will not blame any one else for MY weaknesses.

  14. I'm on Phase 2 of my post program starting today (well yesterday technically), I'm off liquids and on pureed food but I really want water and tomato soup and not much else 0.o. I thought I would be dancing a jig when 2 weeks came but it's more like meh…

  16. Hello I'm Jenipher wife and mother I had VSG surgery on October 8, 2012 with Dr. Nguyen in Manteca, Ca. I am doing well and taking it one day at a time. Losing weight has been consistent since my surgery date seemingly no matter what I eat. A rule of thumb you will feel exactly how you eat. You want to feel good eat good that means whatever is in your food phase. You want to feel bad eat things that are not in your food phase you will feel rotten. If I can help you in your journey please...

  17. Celebrated my 3rd Thanksgiving post op :) ...so thankful sleevie is still working LOL! He still didn't allow me to go off and fall into a food coma LOL! Believe me, my brain wishes I could eat more, but it is what it is, and it's good enough for me :)!!!

  21. Soooo...I spent yesterday trying to get back on track with my food, and thought I was starving to death-- today rewarded with a one pound gain. :/

  22. First food today, scrambled egg. 7 hours later still feel overfull, bloated. Feel too full to drink water. Any suggestions or comments on cause?

  23. this was my first day of eating mushy foods. I feel I done really well. still very full. Went to Dr's yesterday and I'll be able to go back to work on Monday.

  24. Attention parents! Don't let your kid under the age of 10 microwave their own food and try to get it out of microwave themselves! Or if they do use the microwave teach HOW and WHAT to set the timer on! I see too many kids with bad burns... Soup and noodles need 2 min or less it doesn't need to be boiling hot!
