4 Days Post Op
I was sleeved on the 19th also. I am really struggling to get everything down. I was trying really hard this morning, but now I have absolutely no interest in drinking anything else. But, I know I have to. I get this horrible pain in the center of my chest and then I have to burp and then it feels like it goes down. But, the pain is awful. I am actually amazed that I have been able to stay awake all day so far today. I just try to remember that I am only 4 days post op and I had major surgery, I need to take it easy.

I'm home too!
Sorry to hear you had to go have a catheter put in. When they took mine out, I had to go within 6 hours. I'm not sure what they would have done if I hadn't but, they kept bugging me until I went.

hard to get in all my liquids
I am really struggling to get everything in too. I think yesterday, I had 2 sf jello cups, which took about 40 minutes to finish. I had about 10 oz. of diet decaf tea, 15 oz. of water and about 4 oz. of nsa carnation instant breakfast (I loved them before, but yesterday it tasted gross.) I have something with me constantly, but I just can't seem to get it down fast enough.

Day 3 pre-op liquid diet...
I had a bad headache the first couple days too, but I was told that I could take Tylenol up until, even the morning of surgery, if needed. I am a Type 2 diabetic also but I kept on taking my meds. I just checked my sugar often and adjusted my insulin. I didn't change my oral meds at that time, just adjusted the amount of insulin I was taking.

im seriously regretting this
I am glad you are able to get something down. Being home with your family helps to make you feel better. I hope you can go home today.

I had to take a shot the day before surgery and then they gave me 2 shots a day while in the hospital, but I was not prescribed anything when I left.

im seriously regretting this
Oh, I am so sorry you are feeling so bad. I was sleeved on Tues. and came home yesterday. I have had some really bad times too. I am really struggling with being able to drink enough. I hope they figure out what is going on and can take care of it, so you can get home. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Help - Looking for surgeon in NJ or Pennsylvania area
I just had mine done at Hershey Medical by Dr. Ann Rogers. I am only 3 days out, but so far, so good. I actually had a very nice stay at the hospital, well as nice as a stay can be after surgery, it was much nicer than my local hospital.

Ready or Not ~ Today is the Day
Good luck today. I will be looking for an update when you can.

I am home!!
I was sleeved on Tues. Everything went really well, except that they ended up bringing my husband up to recovery because they couldn't wake me up. This is typical for me, but I did wake up briefly and I was so nauseous and they gave me something and then couldn't wake me up again. I was really pretty much out of it until Wed. morning, when I forced myself to stay awake for a 1/2 hour show on t.v. They left me take a little sponge bath and gave me a toothbrush and toothpaste yesterday morning and that really helped. I think I walked the halls 3 times yesterday. I really have no pain except in the one incision that she took the stomach out of and she said she had to cut the muscle. They started bringing me a tray of liquids yesterday morning. I don't know how they ever expected me to drink all of that stuff. I had my i.v. fluids until right before I left the hospital today, so I've been struggling to drink a lot today, but I am trying to make an effort. My mom made chicken soup for my family for dinner and I had some broth. Then my husband and kids and I walked around our property. I could only walk around once, but it is so hot outside. I am doing pretty good and I look forward to feeling better over the next week or so. Now, if I could only keep my kids off my chair.

Good luck July 19 sleevers
Thank you, I am excited and starting to get nervous. I have to be at the hospital at 7:40 (have to leave the house shortly after 6:30) and surgery is scheduled for 10:10. I won't be able to update until I get home because I am leaving my laptop at home, even though I could get wireless internet in the hospital. Good luck to the others getting sleeved tomorrow.
