  1. Thanks everyone! Kemo I would love to do the P90X!!! Anything that looks tough I'm all for it!! LOL... I will let everyone know how this week goes. Deb
  2. I researched several Surgeons in my area, however seeing as my insurance picked up the entire tab for my VSG I found one that is rated the number one bariatric surgeon in my state. (But they all are) He is a COE surgeon and associated with a COE facility (2) in my state. His stats impressed me, I also personally know several of his patients. Which is a plus as well. He and his staff are very knowledgeable and ready to answer any questions you may have. Good luck with your journey. Deb
  3. Happy New Year to you!!!! What a wonderful way to start a New Year!!! Congrats! Keep us posted! Deb
  4. Okay I haven't been around lately. I hope everyone had a fantastic Holiday. Needless to say with the holiday's and family get togethers hasn't left a lot of time for catching up with everyone. Thanksgiving I started running. As of today I can run a mile in 15 minutes. I have been on vacation and I have ran everyday two miles a day. I think before the middle of January I can successfuly run three miles easy. Not a lot going on, Just trying to get rid of these last pounds. It is so damn hard to figure out what will and will not work with the last bit of weight. Determinaton is what is keeping me from settleing on weighing what I weigh now being my final weight. I will check in every now and then to let everyone know how it is going. Wish me luck... Deb
  5. I found walking did help me with the gas. I was gas free by day 4. Some recomend gas-x strips. They didn't work for me. Things will get better day by day. Glad to see you back on the board. Deb
  6. I may take a few sips while I eat. I don't drink a full 8 ounces during my meal. I usually get very thirsty about 20 minutes after I eat. Everyone is different. Deb
  7. That is just INSANE!!! You are doing an amazing job!!!!! I had my surgeon's assistant tell me that I may not get below 140 pounds, I did correct her and said, "says who ,do you have a crystal ball that gave you that information?" She just looked me and said, " I just do not want you to become disappointed if you quit loosing weight." I told her, you just let me woory about that. As I was leaving, I added this, I have lost 70% of my excess weight according to this office. So am I considered a failure? I guess she wasn't prepared for me that morning. Keep doing what you are doing. That is a wonderful job you have done!!! I have no doubt you will show them that they are wrong!!!! Deb
  8. Oh what a wonderful feeling this must be. You have been such an inspiration to me. I know you have worked uber hard to be where you are. Congrats on all of your accomplishments!!!!!!
  9. I completed week one day three today. I didn't reallize how long it has been since I have ran. (30 + years) I really like doing this. I can't wait to leave work just so I can run. LOL......Has anyone lost weight while doing the C25K program? My weight has been bouncing for a what seems like forever. I read that some people don't lose weight, but inches as their clothes fit differently since doing the program. Then there are the ones that lose while doing the program. Just curious if anyone successfuly completed the program and lost weight while getting there. Thanks for any info! Deb.
  10. My sleeve loves steak My sleeve loves Ham My sleeve loves fruits & vegetables My sleeve hates turkey My sleeve hates sweets or depends on how you look at it. My sleeve hates pork ribs Deb
  11. I had a lower body lift about 13 years ago. Give or take. I had pain yes I will admit. However The recovery was easy I was back at work in ten days. Since having VSG my curves are coming back. :biggrin5: I would do it again! Now this was not only a TT but a lift and fat removal. I paid $8000.00 back then for this procedure. I haven't priced anything lately. My insurance will pay for my breast augmentation, lift, reduction that I will be needing eventually. I was going to look into a medial thigh lift as well. With only needing to lose 18 more pounds maybe the thigh lift will get rid of that. Good luck with getting your TT. Deb
  12. Thats so AMAZING!!!!!! I can't wait!!!!! Deb
  13. I feel ya on this. Same here, except mine seem like they are lasting for a month. (LOL) I just keep doing what I'm doing. I don't stress it, the weight loss will crank back up again. I try not to focus on the scales but the way my clothes fit. I do not see it, but others around me do. Keep working your sleeve ladies and it will start back up again. Deb
  14. Thanks Ateam for the support :smile1: The receipes I found online sound so yummy!!! I can't wait to try them. Deb.
  15. Has anyone heard of the Primal or Paleo diet? Thinking about giving it a try. Going to pick up the cookbook. Deb
  16. That is such an awesome accomplishment! I am pushing the last 18 pounds myself. Rooting for you!!! Deb
  17. My job recently started overtime back up. With the Holidays here how could I refuse. So, here I go again with working 6 days a week. Did this over the spring and summer which didn't leave me any "real time" for my exercise routine. Which I believe kind of slowed my loss. I strongly feel that I could've been at goal by now. Had I not worked the OT it would've gave me more time to concentrate on my weight loss. Then again, I took advantage of it. I guess it will be a give and take. I will give (and take) the OT and take what I can for my loss with what time I have to devote to exercise. It is what it is. And I will take it. It will be just a bit longer than I had anticipated to reach my goal. I know it may not seem like a lot left to lose, but I have pushed myself so much and so hard this year just to get where I am. It seems as if there isn't enough time in a day anymore to work everything in. Or I'm just getting older...LOL Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!!!! Deb
  18. Amazing, super, fabulous!!!!! Can't wait till I can say extra small... Deb
  19. You look wonderful!!!!! You are soooo tiny!!!!! Deb
  20. While I was washing my car this morning, my neighbor was getting her groceries out of her car and she did a double take when she looked my way. She came back out and came over to say hi and was in shock. She thought I was another woman. LOL..... I just smiled and said no its me just smaller. She walked away shaking her head. This was so priceless A lot of my neighbors stare but don't say anything, this morning was so damn funny. Wait till my husband comes home from work he'll have a good laugh to. Deb
  21. Totally Awesome!!!!! You look GREAT!!!!!!
  22. I quit last year when I decided to enter my journey to a healthier me. I just quit cold turkey. I don't think I could drink one now if I wanted to. It has been too long. Samething when I quit smoking. My two worst habits I kicked. I'm so glad I did. Good luck. Deb
  23. I wish the last few would hurry up and drop. LOL..... I went to my PCP on 11/11/2011 she told me I have lost another 11 since my last visit 6 weeks ago. However I think her scale and my scale are a few pounds different. But hey, if she said 11 I'll take that. Mine said more. No worries here. I hope I can squeeze to goal before the end of the year I think we have done an amazing job with our weight loss, mini goals and goals. We can make it happen!!!!! Deb
